****quote of the week****

The butterfly counts not months but moments,
and has time enough.
* Rabindranath Tagore

Since time is the one immaterial object which we cannot influence--neither
speed up nor slow down, add to nor diminish--it is an imponderably
valuable gift.

There was no "before" the beginning of our universe, because once upon a
time there was no time.

The days come and go like muffled and veiled figures sent from a distant
friendly party, but they say nothing, and if we do not use the gifts they
bring, they carry them as silently away.

Dost thou love life, then do not squander time, for that's the stuff life

"anything less than mad passionate extraordinary love is a waste of your

One of the most wonderful things about knowing God is that there's always
so much more to know, so much more to discover. Just when we least expect
it, He intrudes into our neat and tidy notions about who He is and how He
works.
-Joni Eareckson Tada

Happy people...enjoy the fundamental, often very simple things of life...
They savor the moment, glad to be alive, enjoying their work, their
families, the good things around them... Their eyes are turned outward;
they are aware, compassionate. They have the capacity to love.
-Jane Canfield

We are called to be women. The fact that I am a woman does not make me a
different kind of Christian, but the fact that I am a Christian makes me a
different kind of woman. For I have accepted God’s idea of me, and my
whole life is an offering back to Him of all that I am and all that He
wants me to be.
-Elisabeth Elliot

"Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and
stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." - Christopher Robins

Anna Akhamatova

"I love you without knowing how, or when or from where. I love you
straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I
know no other way than this: where I does not exist, nor you, So close
that your hand on my chest is my hand, so close that your eyes close as I
fall asleep." - Pablo Nerbuda

You can transmute love, ignore it, muddle it but you can never pull it out

Time is partially a matter of perception.
When you are asleep you have no recallection of the time that passed as you slept. Which in a way speeds up time for you. (you still age though, and time DOES pass) however you dont have to sit through all the time that passes if you were on.. say a long car ride..

Time passes much quicker to a fly than it does to a human, to a fly, we seem to move in slow motion. 1 day to us is an entire lifetime to a fly.. now, does the lifespan determine the speed at which it percieves time to pass? Or does its speed of perception determine its lifespan?

"Once upon a time..."
any childs fairytale

"Never put off today what you can do today."
Virgo saying

"WHAT!?! Your not back yet private!!!"
