I was looking for the intro forum and this looked like it (I gather that others thought so too). I seem to have the forward travel down pat. Just moments ago it was 1968 and I was still at The College of William and Mary in Virginia on a physics scholarship and contemplating how I was going to avoid getting drafted, and here it is 2015.

Got sidetracked from Physics for awhile, spent a few years as a starving artist Bluegrass Banjo-picker and songwriter before returning home to care for elderly mother (also had bad marriage end in divorce, reason I dropped out of physics.). These days try to blog and otherwise write online.

Welcome. We all thought you were implying that you were a time traveler. Technically, we are all forward time travelers, though. :)

I am (as we all are) a time traveler, just traveling through time. Perhaps you mean making jumps, skipping the intervening, and not some experience such as the Sleeper in an H.G. Wells novel, or some person in a cryogenics vat.

Subjectively. the time since I was about 5 years old and my Uncle Henry first told me about Relativity and time dilation seems to be very short. And, yes, I had a pretty good understanding of what he was talking about. Too bad he died young, He was a Physics major (and would probably ended up with a PhD). Maybe we would have ended up at the same school at some point.

It was called a 4-S deferment. You spent four years in school studying physics, didn't graduate, your 4-S ran out when you dropped out of school in 1968 and...(other than its now 2015)?
