Theory: Why I cannot prove time travel

Scenario:

1) my cat dies today

2) tomorrow I travel in time to yesterday and save my cat

3) today my cat doesn't die

Even If I know (meaning I told myself or left a note ) there is no way anybody would believe me when I explain that my cat was going to die today but it din't cause I saved it

Thoughts?
