The World Solving The World\'s Problems: Wave Farms
http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/05/20/norway.wave.power.ap/index.html
Those who know me know I am a champion of solar power generation technologies, and a solar power electricity generator to boot. But that doesn't mean solar is the do-all-end-all solution to our energy needs. As has been shown down throughout history, there is never a single "magic bullet" solution to a problem. The magick appears when you integrate several heterogenous solutions into a total operating system (such as the power grid).
Many places on earth could build wave farms instead of powerplants, to satisfy their future energy requirement. We could probably build a large one off the CA coast, out beyond the Channel Islands.
