I'd like to introduce the concept of PERSISTANT NEWS REPORTING...
The major problem with our news reporting is HAS NO CONTEXT regarding the person or event.
Any revelant previous history or links to group and organization are ignored by BEUTIFUL TALKING HEAD media culture....
You only think about the reporters... (The female ones in my case...)
You get distracted by them.
And it is disturbing to see them SMILING and LOOKING PRETTY when a serious story about DEATH, VIOLENCE or ABUSE comes up from a "field" or "remote" report. I would think it promotes SOCIOPATHIC or PSYCHOTIC behavior in the viewers by SUBLIMAL SUGGESTION.
I am waiting HIGH DEFINION TELEVISIONS... That will carry INFORMATION PACKETS along with the DIGITAL SIGNAL...
You can have TOUCH SCREEN TVS or REMOTE MOUSE LIKE OPERATIONS that like to NEWS TOPICS or INDIVIDUAL HISTORIES like Wikipedia...
For Example, Let's says Tim Russett has on David Gergen...
David Gergen is introduced as an "Advisor to Past Presidents" but what you don't see is:
Taken from Mr. Gergen's Wikipedia page:
"Gergen earned his bachelor's degree from Yale University in 1963 and his law degree from Harvard University in 1967. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. In addition, he has been a member in many elite, influential, and exclusive groups, such as The Trilateral Commission, Bohemian Grove, and the Bilderberg Group, while serving the U.S. government."
Even if this FLASHED AS SCROLLING INFORMATION or A INFO POP UP TEXT BOX on today's tv technology. You could make an informed opinion if you want to listen to Mr. Gergen or take anything he says seriously.
Or if Rudy Giuliani comes up as a story item. Let's say referring to his "Priest" being on the payroll of his consultanting company as the last one or two related story items.
I think you see what I'm proposing....
