Temporal Travel.

1. There will never be a way to travel or communicate backwards in time.

2. While time travel is not explicitly impossible under the known laws of physics, the proposed wormhole mechanism for it would require energies and technologies that are simply not achievable.

3. Note also that a wormhole time machine would not allow travel back to before the wormhole was created.

What do you make of the above?

1) I agree with statement 1.

2) The only wormhole theories I am familiar with are sci-fi ones like Farscape. Is there an actual credible theory involving wormholes?

3) Logically sound, but if wormholes exist and they were created at the start of the universal expansion that wouldn't be much of a problem, no point in going further back than that really.

1. There will never be a way to travel or communicate backwards in time.

Why? Answer me this - under the grandfather paradox how far in time could i travel back (i am 23 years old) and why?

2. While time travel is not explicitly impossible under the known laws of physics, the proposed wormhole mechanism for it would require energies and technologies that are simply not achievable.

You might have said that if i explained to you what a laser was in 1900. Also we don't 'achieve' energy, we discover it and try to refine its aplication for our intention.

3. Note also that a wormhole time machine would not allow travel back to before the wormhole was created.

If this really was truly the case (keeping in mind W.H. theory is still only speculative) then source of the created wormhole should eminate from an energy that is abover Space/time.

Switchy,

1. There will never be a way to travel or communicate backwards in time.

Possibly true. There are far too many unanswered questions at this time to be able to know for sure.

2. While time travel is not explicitly impossible under the known laws of physics, the proposed wormhole mechanism for it would require energies and technologies that are simply not achievable.

Possibly true. Even wormhole solutions are highly speculative - much more speculative than black hole theory. But if it is only a matter of engineering, technology and energy (assuming that wormholes actually exist and a proper one can be located) then is it far less speculative. Its a matter of sufficient time to make the discoveries and advancements.

3. Note also that a wormhole time machine would not allow travel back to before the wormhole was created.

This one is not as straight forward as it appears. In theory you're correct - but only locally and only with respect to the mouth of the wormhole. If the exit from the wormhole is sufficiently distant from the mouth (as measured in ight years) then the loss of time synchronism between the two can be very great. The idea of a time "before the wormhole was created" loses unambigous meaning. This one is faulty based on the principles of general relativity.
