Temporal Anomalies?

Last night I was doing an online virus scan on my computer. It took about two and a half hours to complete. Scan results: some spyware was located and deleted. But I happened to note the path to the file location on where the spyware was. So I went to take a look for myself. The location was C:\Windows\Downloaded program files. In that folder were several files, and next to each file was creation date info. Two of the files caught my attention. The creation date on those two files was 12/6/2068 10:31 PM.The files were both named Java Runtime Enviroment 1.5.0

Now of course I'm just a bit curious about the creation dates. It raises lots of questions. Anyway my biggest question is to find out if anyone else has similar files on their computer. Or am I the only one with files from the future?

So everybody that reads this, please go look and see if you have similar files. I would love to know if I'm the only one. And if it is common on other computers, then why the eroneous date? Is this spyware from the future? Lots and lots of questions....

I just set my calendar forward and created a file from 2068. Set it back and the computer had no problem leaving the date from the future. Maybe the author of the spyware wanted to be funny and did a simple date change, create file, change date back.

If those programs are from Microsoft, they are needed and were downloaded so Java will be on your computer. It is a console program for running Java Script or Java from the Internet. All my files are needed and were a result of either downloading something from Microsoft, or putting something on my computer like Flash (Shockwave) or soemthing else. I would not take those files off of your computer. As to the date, I see no date on mine, unless it could be they are good to that certain date. A lot of cookies put that text file (cooky) on your computer and those always may have a date (a lot of them) from visiting websites and usually have some insane date on them with like 2037 on them which just means that if the cookie is never taken off your computer (I delete mine sometimes) because they will build up, and they will be on your computer until that date -- like until 2037. This is why I clean up my computer every now and then, because some cookies are tracking cookies (persay) but sometimes a spyware program can be wrong and dead wrong on what it wants to delete.

I used one and it gave me two files that I definitely looked at first, and did not delete, since I think the spyware program was just plain wrong. It was an advertisement visiting a forum, and it was just wrong.

At least the files I have on my computer were put there by other programs registering (in a sense) their program there. And if you can not determine if they belong or not, I think that if you did not download anything, that some other program like Shockwave or Microsoft put them there with downloading updates on your computer. I see nothing wrong with mine, and Java is Java used with a browser on the Internet to run those programs. The best thing is not to have Active X able to load up things to your browser and usually the default for that is only a certain selection. If using Microsoft's browser, get the Options up on the Tool menu and set it to the default!
That is also were you delete downloaded files, delete cookies and delete the History of websites you have visited, but that History runs a certain number of days and then deletes them. That can be set by you on your computer.

I don't think any program actually runs from there, but may be registration either of the installation of the software or a long hex number that verifies that the file was put on your computer to update (patch) your computer from Microsoft or another known plug-in vendor (like Shockwave's Flash program plugin)!
