So tell me...

where was this titor guy posting from? he seemed to have a lot of free time on his hands for a guy on an important mission...

so what was his set up? where did he stay/eat/sleep ect?

how did he get food? money? I would think he would also need clothes from our era to fit in with the "locals," as one guy put it
does jc penny take visa from the future?

why have there been no physical desriptions of the guy (if some of you have met him in person)?

where did he put his time machine when he was here? one of those mini storage places?

and who are these forces that would put this guy in such peril it requres everyone to act like james bond?

why should he worry about "danger" as a kid if he obiously lives long enough to travel from 2036 to 2000?

(edit- just a few typos)

lol to both of you. but what I really know is why the hell does his time machine happen to be in a car? Everytime I think of that I think Back To The Future movies.

According to JT, a car (with good suspension) is ideal because it's equipped to handled the forces exerted by time travel. It also happens to be quite mobile to presumably access remote areas. Funny that!

It's not like he's driving it in use. What, would you rather it strapped to your back? How about you attach it to the handlebars on your bicycle?

aaah , a car.. was marty mcfly his co-pilot?

bear with me kids, I am new here and havent had a chance to sift throught the hundreds of pages on this topic yet

very cute, trying to dismiss my questions by writing me off as a child.

answer the rest of my questions..
bestow upon me knowledge,
oh wizard, all knowing, all wise

Do the research yourself.
All of John's posts are available for you or anyone else to read.
Quit expecting other people to answer questions
for you that you can easily obtain for yourself.

If you want knowledge seek it yourself.
Anything else requires trusting the knowledge provided
by the person asked. If you dont do the research yourself
how can you know if what they have spoken is the truth?

way to dodge my questions...arent you the only one who knows this john guy? I have noticed from your posts you seem to be his little girlfriend.....

leviathan, have you never heard the term "kids" used in the same context as "you guys" or "everybody"?

Deadhouse,

I'll try to answer your questions. Please keep in mind that I don't necessarily agree with the logic, but I am going to attempt to answer in the context of "Boomer really was a time traveler":

Where was this Titor guy posting from? He seemed to have a lot of free time on his hands for a guy on an important mission...

He said that he was in Florida. And I agree…he did seem to have a lot of free time on his hands. As was pointed out that isn’t really a problem for a time traveler. He explained that he was in 2000 for personal reasons and that his handlers wouldn’t ever know. On the other hand he said that the screening process for the mission included extensive psychological testing. They apparently didn’t screen for Cowboys…and he certainly did Cowboy his mission.

so what was his set up? Where did he stay/eat/sleep etc?

He said that he stayed with his parents in Florida.

How did he get food? money? I would think he would also need clothes from our era to fit in with the "locals," as one guy put it
does jc penny take visa from the future?

He didn’t say where he got his money – but he said that he had plenty of cash. If, only for the sake of argument we assume his story is true and that there was a great Civil War and World War which resulted in a new Constitution and nation, having U.S. dollars might not be a problem for him – much like having Confederate dollars after the “first” Civil War. Having proper clothing wouldn’t be a technical problem. A set of clothing could be made before he left. He’d buy the rest “in country” with his cash.

Why have there been no physical descriptions of the guy (if some of you have met him in person)?

To my knowledge no one actually had any “face time” with Boomer – not even Pamela.

Where did he put his time machine when he was here? One of those mini storage places?

You got me on that one. It would be a security nightmare, wouldn’t it?

and who are these forces that would put this guy in such peril it requires everyone to act like James bond?

Again, only for the sake of argument and assuming the story is true: he admitted that he is an enemy of our government. So, the obvious answer is that he feared both civil and military law enforcement.

why should he worry about "danger" as a kid if he obviously lives long enough to travel from 2036 to 2000?

Good question. He never adequately explained that one. He said that the family was not really “his” family. They were just one of the infinite permutations of the probability wave of Many Worlds Interpretation. Therefore, no matter what he did, according to his interpretation of quantum mechanics, and infirnite number of worlds would be created with every possible outcome - he dies, he diesn't, his entire family dies, all survive - some survive.

ok , more

if you are a enemy of a govenrnment and claim you have/will take action against it and are in possession of something that could be used as a very powerful weapon (the time machine), why would you go broadcasting that on internet message boards?

if he was staying with his "family", well, can you imagine someone coming up to your parents and saying "hi , I am your kid from the future, can I crash on your couch?" (and thats not even touching the alternate worldlines stuff). my parents would probably call the police. and if this stranger started telling them details about their lives trying to convince them, my parents would really freak. get my drift?

he stated that his handlers would never know he stopped in 2000. wouldnt you think a device like a time machine would have some type of flight recorder? also he said that the internet was still intact in 2036 and since there are hundreds of pages about him scattered across several sites, I think that at least some of that would have survived into the future, so shouldnt then the legend of john titor already exist before he travels? would some of the personal details give him away to the powers that he works for?

(edit-typos and grammar errors)

No, John was not my boyfriend. He was my friend.
And with your last post I see you seem to have no understanding
how alternate timelines would work. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There are, however, an infinite number of worldlines where John was Pamela's boyfriend. The same for the opposite. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Keep your middle finger on the keyboard friend. There is no need to attack someone just because they are new here. I think that is one thing that turns me off about folks here that are never able to relax thier gaurd for a minute and think they aren't the smartest person in the world.

Question: How does a Time Travel Institue message board user cHANGE A LIGHT BULB?

aNSWER: They Hold it in the air and wait for the world to revovle around them.

Yes folks in my Time 2003 we refer to people we like as kids, and strangers as Custies.
For example if you have a Heady(great) piece of tourmiline, you would safe it for a "kid", but if you had some smokey quartz you'd sell it for the same price to some custy on the intrenet.

Pamela forgive me for bringing you into this but when you try to do research around here you see a lot of stuff where some "titorer than thou" nut just answers things they don't understand so the don't have to admit for one moment that there are things they don't understand. Everyone here was new once and will be again. Please welcome new folks to this discussion and answer thier questions. It shouldn't be hard for oh wizard, all knowing, all wise Leviathan /ttiforum/images/graemlins/devil.gif

Question: How does a Time Travel Institue message board user change a light bulb?

Answer: They don't! John Titor goes to the past and changes it before it goes out.
(Wait, why is the bulb yellow now? Swear it was white. Hmmm...)

and from your post I can see all you are capable of is dodging questions....of course many of your other posts also show that you have tunred this into a scifi romance novel, but I wont start on that

I never claimed to know anything about alternate worldlines, you on the other hand, seem to consider yourself the foremost expert........

so enlighten me,

and from your post I can see all you are capable of is dodging questions

If you read her posts, you will see that she only "dodged" your questions because a full answer would only be repeating lenghty information that is already available else-where on this forum. There is a very useful search engine here for this purpose!

I never claimed to know anything about alternate worldlines, you on the other hand, seem to consider yourself the foremost expert........

Information on alternate wordlines is viewable on nearly every post here. It is one of the most common excuses for time travel. ie that there is an infinite number of universes - a multiverse if you will- and that every choice we make in our daily lives is offset by an opposite outcome of this choice which is played out in a different universe. John stated in his posts that this universe was not exactly the same as his. Minor events would have different outcomes but for the most part, history plays out the same in both worlds. To date the most compelling evidence of this phenomenon is quantum physics. I can't remember this evidence exactly but it should be available some where under 'quantum physics' in encarta. It has something to do with the random behaviour of quanta in controlled environments where there should be no random(-nomity?). The reasoning is therefore that if this process is random in this universe, then there may be alternate universes where the exact opposite results are recorded.

Please don't start gunning for respected members of this forum. I think there was a minor misunderstanding earlier in this thread, but don't let it affect the rest of your postings here.

John Titor's exploits are documented in full on a variety of websites. Just type his name into your web search engine, and you're sure to find the information you want.

If there are any typos in this post, I'm sorry my office had a Christmas party yesterday and I am very hung over!!

To convince his parents all he would have to do is say "I'd like to explain why my eyes are identical to your son's" and list a few personal habits of his parents, locations of relatives that have different last names, etc. Not very hard to do.
