As the subject says, I'm pretty new to the ideas and theories surrounding time travel. My question is this: How possible is it from a reality standpoint? Movies always give us what would seem to be extravagant ideas of people building these machines and stumbling across the idea, but what about the here and now?

So far there is no reality for time travel. All we have is science fiction or fictional theory.

As the above poster has stated, we are yet to see actual evidence of time travelling. All we have is science fiction and stories, although travelling through time is not impossible considering how everything can be manipulated nowadays (including light particles).
