Temporal Novice
It is physically impossible for one man in a single night to traverse the entire planet earth delivering gifts to all the nice children in every home.
However, if that man had the ability to travel through time then conceivably he could move from home to home by repeatedly jumping into the night before Christmas at each of those different locations, which would appear to any outside observer as his being in multiple locations on that night simultaneously or nearly so. This would be a practical solution to the problem of covering so much distance in so little time. He simply doesn't do it! He just uses a Spatiotemporal Control device!
His ability to travel through time also could explain his formidable ability to observe which children have been naughty. He must be capable of using his device to observe children... or perhaps he even has remote monitors which could be cybernetic elves equipped with naughtiness sensors. These E.L.V.E.S. (Electronic Locators/Value Estimation Sentries) would keep Santa informed and alert him to the moral status of children worldwide.
