RMT, What's Your Take On.....

Re: RMT, What\'s Your Take On.....

Hi MEM,

Seems like a high number of aftershooks in the area. Is that unusual?
Well, since you asked MEM, I guess I should give you an honest reporting of my analysis and thoughts. You might even think it is a wild and wacky speculation, especially since I don't usually subscribe to conspiracy-like theories. But here goes:

IMO, I do believe the magnitudes and frequencies of aftershocks after the initial quake are quite unusual. But that is not all that I find unusual. The relatively shallow depth, and relative consistency of depths of the follow-on aftershocks sticks out like a sore thumb to my eyes. Nature typically structures earthquakes in the same way that nature structures rising bubbles of cheese in a goopy pot of cheese fondue. The mass density and viscosity of melted cheese causes a "random walk" of both locations and depths from which the cheese bubbles-up and bursts. I would expect that naturally occurring aftershocks would appear in random locations around the epicenter of the main quake, and at varying depths above and below the main quake. But we don't seem to see this in the data. The LATs/LONGs and depths are pretty tightly packed in the link you provided.

So let me make my position more clear: Is it a coincidence that this area is where Al Qaeda is centralized and hiding? How about the fact that Bin Laden's network has been known to inhabit caves and underground facilities? Is it possible that they are performing operational tests of weapons that are intended to be able to force-trigger earthquakes on existing tectonic plate junctions?

I'd like to ask Einstein to chime in here, because there was a thread awhile back where he and I both agreed and understood about potential Tesla technology that could create and amplify earthquakes.

I certainly wouldn't put it past Bin Laden to be trying to come up with a means to forcefully induce major earthquakes in the US Pacific Plate region, and that would include Yellowstone! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

What are your thoughts on this phenomenon you have pointed out?

I thought it unusual. But I was more surprised at the number of aftershocks, both in strength and how close they came together. I did not notice that the depths were close, until you pointed it out.

I know very little about earthquakes so I can offer no opinion one way or the other.

I remember talking about Tesla's little earthquake machine that he left running and it damn near shook down the entire town. But I didn't tell anyone exactly how to construct one. I know there are books on the subject. But from what I have read about it on the net, no one really knows how Tesla constructed the device. I'm pretty sure I know how he did it. But I can see no usefull or sane application for the device. But the science behind it's operation is something I plan on applying to a time machine. Tesla's earthquake machine creates a rotating transverse wave. But the wave is setup within mass. Without any negative mass to balance out the wave, the input energy just keeps on climbing and climbing. I believe Tesla actually discovered a mechanical way to access mass. Usually something like that is only accessable with nuclear force. But if a similar mind with less morals than mine were to access this knowledge, then all hell could break loose on the planet. Such a device if left running unchecked could probably break the planet apart into rubble. This is all entirely my opinion. I haven't built one of these devices and have no intention of ever doing so. With knowledge does come responcibility.

MEM,

I thought it unusual. But I was more surprised at the number of aftershocks, both in strength and how close they came together.

The epicenter of the quake(that lasted for over a minute) was near Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

I can’t guess what is the reason for such Earthquake, but there was a similar one on Jan 2001, in Gujarat and few yars before in Maharashtra, India. Geologists say these are due to the reason that the Indian sub continental plate moves north 40mm/year.

But as you pointed out, the after shocks of Dec 2004 event is very obvious. Frequent, mild earthquakes are felt around then and there which were never experienced before. I am in the Southern Peninsula, I often see news of sea water acting “vigorously” every now and then. Often, sea water flows into some areas, driving people away and resides later.

However, like you, I also have little knowledge on Earthquakes.

Re: RMT, What\'s Your Take On.....

Recent news indicates there has been increased Earthquake activity in that area.
