Rediculous Claims

Ezekiel

Temporal Novice
If one were a real time traveler they would either not tell anyone, or they would give some kind of incontrovertable evidence proving they were. There is absolutely no point to going online, and claiming to be a time traveler if you can't or won't prove it. If one were a real time traveler they would either be on some kind of mission and wouldn't even be on-line, or they would specifically go on-line to amaze the crap out of us just for the sheer fun of it. Of course, the third possibility is that they would go on-line as part of their mission, but I doubt it would include going onto a message board and saying, "greetings everyone. I'm a time traveler, but have no way to prove it, nor do care if you believe me...bla bla bla." I would imagine they would get data a lot easier by being incogito.

Well, I've been out and about for a while. I love this site when I have time to get online. Two very different types of people visit this place. Type A. are people that love the idea of Time Travel and can't get enough chatter and postulations concerning it. Type B are people who are either completely out of their minds; or are deliberately trying to convince people they travel through time, or are able to see into the future. But ya, either way it's cool.

What I don't get though (and people have brought this up before), is that these "Time Travelers" make all these specific predictions about really cosmically insignificant (sp?) events, that nobody from the future, even 10 years into the future, is gonna remember. Come on guys! I want to be amused! If you're a time traveler go ahead and tell us a few nuggets of futurely wisdom. But something really significant that is likely to happen relatively soon.

Now, I for one, am no time traveler, but Barack Obama is gonna win the Democrat nomination, McCain will win the Republican nomination, McCain is gonna win the Presidency, he'll never, however, make it through a second term. Unfortunately events will make Obama's future political viability very shaky indeed.

If you're a time traveler let me know how close to the mark I am! Anyway, Ezekiel has work to do. Have a great day present people, and future boys!

I would tell others I was time traveler because of my basic human instinct and desire to be accepted into a group. I would tell you I was time traveler because I needed to tell SOMEONE, anyone, just to get if off my chest. I would tell you I was a time traveler because I was lonely and could not share my secret with anyone unless it was under an anonymous vale. I would tell you I was time traveler because I want to talk about it with other people but retain my safety and security of just being an average jane or joe.

That's a touch melodramatic. Although I am not a time traveler, and therefore can't claim to know how one would feel, it seems to me it's not as wistful and meloncholy as you make it out to be.

Now one the other hand, I think it'd be fun to say, "Hey, I'm a time traveler, and I just came from yesterday, or next week, or next month, or something and say: 'Boston Celtics won the NBA title, or 'in the next few days or so there is gonna be an earthquake in the Aleutian's, or Guatemala, or Mexico or wherever.'

I don't know. I guess I'm just a bit immature, but if I were time traveler, I'd try to have some fun with it...I guess the novelty wears off eventually. But at first it must be fun.

if i was a time traveler, i would meet the samurai. i would follow bushido and have a full life.

i would be with my own kind.

I tried to think about what I would do if I was a time traveler. If I had some down time I might be tempted to go online just to see what peoples views of time travel were at the time. It would kind of interesting because you would be the real thing ..what they were looking for the whole time and right there you were/are. I would be careful what I said but I can't say it would not be an interesting exchange of info.
I don't think alot of people would actually believe you but you could drop a few gems for later.
I have to admit it would be kind of funny for the people of the time to say time travel will never be possible and right there you were/are here from another place/time talking in real time with them! lol /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
yep. I think it might be kind of fun/ny.

-The future of mankind according to Arthur Clarke-
<font color="blue"> “The birth of artificial intelligence is inevitable; however, it will be preceded by a lot of artificial stupidity.”
“Perhaps, satellite television influences overpopulation drastically. Television is considered to be the best ever-existing contraceptive.”

Below you can read what is going to happen in the world as Arthur Clarke saw it.

2004: The first cloned man appears

2009: A city in a developing country will be destroyed by a casual nuclear bomb disposal. Short debates at the UN will result in the termination of all nuclear weapons on Earth.

2014: A space hotel will be built on Earth’s orbit.

2016: All present currencies will be abolished. Megawatt-hour will be the exchange unit.

2019: A large meteorite will fall down on Earth in the North Pole. There will be no injuries; however, a mammoth tsunami will damage coasts of Greenland and Canada .

2020: Artificial intelligence will reach the human level. Since this time there will be two intelligent species on the planet, and artificial species will develop much quicker than their biological analogues.

2021: Man will land on Mars, which will bring some nasty surprises.

2023: Cloned dinosaurs will appear from computer-generated DNA.

2024: Scientists will detect ultra red signals emitted from the center of the Galaxy. Nevertheless, they will fail to decipher them.

2025: Neurosurgical research will enable scientists to unravel all mysteries of a living organism.

2057: There will be a festival to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Space Epoch (when the USSR launched the first man-made satellite).

2061: Halley’s Comet will return.

2095: Spaceships capable of flying at the speed of light will be designed.

Sometimes I wonder that if a Time Traveler really did start writing on these boards, whether anyone would even notice. Now, I'm no time traveler, but I got real close on my earthquake prediction. I said there would be some major earthquakes in the next few days,

'in the next few days or so there is gonna be an earthquake in the Aleutian's, or Guatemala, or Mexico or wherever.'

and the next day there were some major earthquakes in strange places in the U.S...I thought they'd be in central america but instead it was north america... hey, I guess you could chaulk it up to divergent time lines eh?? lol.

Anyway, I love this board, but back to work for me. I'm at a university in New York. I remember what Titor said about the universities becoming the community centers and it's kinda funny to think that about this college.

(2) A few days later there would reports of food shortages. I remembered hearing them report this on the radio (after the quake) and I didn't like hearing it on the radio (tho I had already read it on certain sites on the internet) because once it is on the radio, every person knows suddenly there is a "food shortage" and everyone freaks out, and then suddenly there is a food shortage (created by the fear mongering). Now it is regularly broadcast on the radio and tv as they drum it in the average citizens' head that there is a food crisis. (I'm not saying there isn't, but the media is really hyping it right now---to play us into their crafty hands ex: RFID chips, NWO, sheeples...)

(3) Next prophecy was about the bank and housing crisis. It is continuing to slide downhill. More news of that broke the past week. New banks involved, spreading into other areas of the economy.

(4) We just had a solar flare........ www.spaceweather.com]

(5) Next prophecy: Tsunami wave hitting Porland Oregon and the coast. She says people won't be allowed to flee, nor will trucks be allowed in to deliver food.

(6) Next prophecy: San Fransico sinks under the ocean because of the weight of water on the fault lines. It collapses and slides into the ocean.
