Recording found on tape in farmers yard.

Hello everybody,

On the 17th of August 2008 I had to chop and dig out an oak which was more then 50 years old.
During that work me and my girl discovered this audio-cassette which was all dirty with wet mud on it.

After finishing the job, we got curious of what should be on the tape. It has a blank label.

We discovered a recording at the immediate beginning of the tape. The following words are being said by as far as we think a desperate man; Message, "For my Family", Happen, "You have to know" or "To know", and the last words something with 'These' and "Are'.

My brother managed to record these words digitally, he converted it into an .mp3 file.

I personally thought this would be a good forum with a lot of users to help our curiosity out, of what might have exactly been said on this tape.

We think we made a little 'breakthrough', we think have a little sentence : "message, I want to record for my family"

I have listened a while again, and between the 2nd and 4th seconds it sounds like he's saying an address summet like cloak north avenue,

I've run it through some filters and im picking up the following words : cheap, gravity, the men are getting closer (or) the men are closer doesnt sound alot but im trying to reduce the static from the audio tape by reducing backgound noise and hopefully getting a clearer voice.
 
This should go to the FBI immediately.

I could be wrong but it sounded like it had the word "die" on it. If that is correct then it is probably safe to say you should forward it to the police who would forward it to the FBI. Or, you can contact the FBI directly. It sounded like it could be from a person having a scicotic episode or an extremely deranged person and that there could be victims of this person on the property. Or, the person on the take thinks they are going to be a victim and wants to leave evidence so the person performing the crime would be caught. Anyway real safe bet this should go to the FBI. And, they might search the property for victims. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

P.S.
Using a special magnetic scanner the FBI could scan for the weak signals on the tape enhancing it or find previous recordings. Anywya they should have a look at it.

I am sure you were talking to who ever posted the tape. I didn't take it down. I don,t see anything wrong with the tape being public just that the FBI needs to listen to it because it had a person on the tape using the word "die" and that person was under extreme stress and the tape is not indentified. It was found by a stranger. So, law enforcement should look at it. But as for it being posted I don,t think anything is wrong with that. But, I am not law enforcement just a person given a personal opinion. But, if the tape is a fraud and a hoax then yes surly that should be confessed too and brought to public attention after being publicly posted. Nothing wrong with it being posted just the truth should be with the tape.

Hi everybody,

First of all, I didn't take the file down, I assume the website where I hosted it took it down because it wasn't music. I am trying to find a good site to host it, but didn't succeed yet. If anyone knows a good website please let me know.

I was reading your posts over and over before replying to you, I'm really not sure what to do.
IF this recording is real the police or the FBI will probably look into it and investigate my neighbors ground. He is like 80 years old, and she's 90. Do I really want to put them into all that trouble/messing around on their ground?

I'm really confused here.

To recap your story, you found a 4-track audio cassette in the mud that has an almost inaudible recording on it and you're asking what it all means on an alt.sci time travel site, correct?

I think that the first question here, and it might even clear up your own confusion, is where do you see the mystery in this? In other words, what's mysterious about finding a cassette in the mud that has what appears to be a message from Person A to Person(s) B when that's the purpose of audio cassettes...to record messages from Person A to Person(s) B?

1. As you can see I posted this topic in the 'Off-Topic' section, that means it has got nothing to do with time travel. I read this forum a lot because I find it very interesting. This is the only forum I often read so I made the decision to post it here because of the lot of members &amp; intelligent comments/statements some posters make. I registered as member recently.

2. I'm sharing it, not asking for straight answers &amp; facts.

3. Person A sending a message to Person B is not mysterious. But the voice &amp; sound on this tape are mysterious and creepy.
