"The state of emergency placed the military in charge of public order and suspended individual rights, including the right to free expression and public assembly."

Now, actions like this taken from a government to put-down popular revolt would be a perfect fit for Titor's story. The only problem is, this did not occur in the US. Had Titor been "real" and telling us the truth about our future, this is the type of thing we would expect to be occurring right about now here in the USA. Unfortunately (if you are a Titor sycophant, fortunately otherwise) all is quiet on the US front.

I haven't seen CigSmokingMan around here for awhile, so I have taken to becoming the anti-CigSmokingMan. IOW, every time something similar to what Titor suggests occurs in the world (but somewhere other than the USA) I am pointing it out as a means to show that Titor missed the mark.

Let's not forget another recent event where people revolted after a "stolen election".... No, not the USA, because it didn't happen here. I am referring to, of course, Ukraine.

Interesting how events similar to those described by Titor have come to pass... except not quite with the same details that Titor specified. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Part of me wants what Titor said to be true, if only to badly annoy all the "Titor is fake, get over it" crowd, I also have a rather morbid fascination with watching things get destroyed/fall apart (I laugh to myself when I see a couple arguing in the street for example). The other part of me says "I hope this doesn't happen it will screw the world up and not do me any good". It does seem odd that unrest seems to be happening everywhere other than the USA, even in the UK there has been some controversy regarding possible rigging of postal ballots and the election isn't until may. In the past I have been described as a warmonger and an anarchist (oddly, both by my mum!).

Indeed, and perhaps odd enough to give pause to the rest of the world to take notice. Above all, we Americans prefer to live in peace. Even when we disagree. Even when political tides change.

And when you boil it all down, isn't LIVING IN PEACE really the ultimate aim of any form of democratic government that is Of, For, and By the People? Above all, we wish to live in a society and culture of PEACE. Is there something in this that maybe the Israelis, Arabs, and Palestinians could learn from? Wouldn't it be cool if India and Pakistan could learn the lesson of prefering to live in PEACE with each other?

What if the vision of the future told by the people behind Titor is just pessimistic and WRONG? Wouldn't it be cool if we could CHANGE Titor's future, and CHOOSE to not live in such a world?

What if the whole Titor fiasco was an exercise to help people understand that we are in control of creating the future that we wish to live in?

I don't know Rains.

Pamela Moore was the main teller of Titoresque, in these parts.

She was so emotional, when telling the information.

If was like someone have an orgasm and then somebody putting a knife in that orgasm.

She was clearly in pain, if you read some of her exchanges, with Darby, when she was refuted.

No' I'm not sure?

Exactly why the - fore -- or -- against.

I do not have a story as a belief system, except the Bible, and that may even change, because of new information.

That is like trying to ward off --- evil -- or good -- with stoneage tools!!
