Prof Michio Kaku on parallel universe. LHC finding path to parallel world, remember what Titor said?

Prof. Michio Kaku mentions about LHC finding gateway to parallel universe (skip video time to 6:30 onward in the video). Reminding me of what John Titor said.

Everything he speaks of is pure conjecture. There are no valid theories or experiments to back up any of his statements, except, perhaps, the work done in South Africa, but that particular experiment hardly concerns parallax.
Take a look at physorg.com and note the recent article concerning quantum magnetism. This is real work being conducted, not conjecture, and will become at the very least, a building block of knowledge eventually leading to practical 'time travel' experimentation. The only problem: I was completely unaware of this discovery, leading me to believe that although it is certainly valid, most likely leads in the wrong direction, and therefore must be discovered again at a much later date in order to become part of the historical sequence that leads directly to the projects currently in progress as of 2266.

Prof Kaku asserts that this is pure speculation then goes on to say that the LHC will give us the 1st experimental evidence about the existence of parallel universes! Go figure.

Mylo, that's grounds for a wager that'll never get paid.

Servantx et al,

Popular as John Titor continues to be at the TTI,
he might write a sci-fi bestseller
by incorporating his stint here into it.
What musical accompaniment
does he lack for its denouement?
Titor fans, try a sing-along to “Deadbeat Club.”

Already happened, I think. The John Titor Foundation attempted to cash in on the hoax and publish JT's posts in an overpriced book.

I was even less familiar with John Titor
before glancing at a page in Wikipedia.
Therein, I noticed his first posts appeared
here. The TTI and the Titor clan, notorious?

Compared to  the hole-in-the-wall gang,
 the "no black hole*, no show" gang o_O could be worse.

John Titor’s assertion “[...] that CERN would discover the basis for time travel [...]
with the[ir] creation of miniature black holes (a recurring theme, also ascribed to
Fermilab and Brookhaven at various times[12]) was taken by some to [have been]
evidence[d].” But this and other predictions of his “[...] did not occur[...]”-- Wikipedia.

Kaku is a media whore. He spends much more time talking about things for which there is no scientific basis than he does speaking about actual science. And given how many shows his mug and hippy hair shown up on, shows where he really add very little except his over-hyped intonations, I would not put much stock into any of his conjectures about any future scientific discoveries. If he was "all that" he would be the guy doing experiments at Cern. He is the media age's poor man's Carl Sagan.

RMT,

Re: media -
That talking heads automatically say what they are paid to report
sometimes makes news ludicrous, e.g.

Calamari, anyone?

Okay, not that kind of squid, Blair.
Since Eric Ladizinsky is apt to meet you coming and going,
does raising money, architecture, R&D, or semi-conductors
most interest you? If none of the above, what?

Eric talks about Dwave and tapping into parallel universe and bringing information from that world into ours.

You can visit the web page on you tube
dwavesystems's channel - YouTube

And a talk here about about tapping into parallel universes.

Interesting times.

I viewed the D-Wave videos. Awesome. Thanks. In regard to your
“bringing information from [...] a parallel universe,” maybe you
will be a messenger of the multiverse. How else would you believe?

There is “contact with intelligent life in the universe” not “via ‘spooky
action from a distance’.” Prayer is contact past, present and future.

It might remind one of what John Titor said but Lledbetter had it correct. Dr. Kaku prefaced most of what he said in the video with "perhaps". As in perhaps, at the Planck Energy, we can observe parallel universes. Titor was talking about using a 12v auto battery to power his gadget and open a portal to parallel universes.

The LHC operates at the tera electron volt level, 6*10^12 eV. A few billion electron volts. To obtain that power they had to build an electric generating plant that can power a small city of population 35,000.

Plank's Energy is 10^28 eV. That's 10 quadrillion (10,000 trillion) times more energy than the LHC outputs. Do you suppose that during the next 20 years that DieHard will put out a car battery with the ability to output energy 10 quadrillion times greater than a medium sized power generating plant? :)

Darby, would you mind calculate the physical size of a nanotube-based fuel cell for 10^28 eV output? Sorry I am not good at nano size calculation.

His information given in the video is quite elementary if you listen carefully. He states absolutely nothing that was not already well-established in the 1990's. This is some sort of scam speech, in my opinion, as even in the 1990's, once again, every property he describes was already well-known. What he fails to mention, however, are the following items: a) the location of the 'threshold', or more simply, the boundary at which behaviours at the planck scale become behaviours at the macro-scale. This is crucial, but is not supplied. b) No explanation, and nothing relating to the necessary equations required to explain his ideas. In other words, he is simply talking a lot, but supplying no information. c) He speaks of superposition by elaborating on some sort of model concerning a metal in an apparent condensate format, yet, provides no new information. Condensates were well-known in the 1990's, and their relationship to quantum mechanics was also quite well established. d) He makes no mention whatsoever of photon behaviour when directed through a sodium ion condensate. This property is crucially important, as it is fact, and will be a factor in proving (eventually) the property of the universal constant. I believe in 2013 it is referred to as 'dark energy', 'ether', or something similar.
Concerning John Titor: He may have existed but it is highly doubtful. There is no historical mention of his name. I had never heard of this person until visiting, at which point I studied about his work. I found it to be plausible, but highly doubtful, mainly because he suggests the idea of a fixed 'timeline', yet, said timeline did not occur. This suggests a parallel timeline, which he did not mention, therefore I may quickly deduce that he is probably a hoax.

Not a clue. Nano technology batteries don't increase the output of a battery. They increase that capacitance of a battery (the ability to store electrical energy), which is currently something on the order of 10 times the capacity of an otherwise equivalent lithium battery. "Electronvolt" is not a capacitance. It is a unit of energy.
