With all the interest in paranormal subjects, science, foreign technology, real serious researchers, investigators, and scientists out there, that they would be attracted to this site. I found some interesting information about Mars in an old 1950's Trend Science magazine.
Example:
From the issue titled Missiles and Satellites, Trend Book 186, pp, 116-117, in an article titled "Exploring New Worlds," Copyright, 1959. "Many unusual phenomena on Mars have excited the attention and speculation over the past 100 years. 19th century star gazers were puzzled by minute flickers of light on the red planet. During the last decade a large bright light flash was seen there. Then another mystery. Out of the reddish desert from which Mars gets its dominant color, a huge green area appeared. Again drawing upon Dr. Richardson's paper, "Observations of Mars and Venus," we find reference to the changed area-... a new region about the size of Texas, which completely surprised everybody." "I was unfamiliar with the appearance of Mars at that time and when I saw this, I couldn't locate it on any of the maps. I wondered what on earth it was. It looked like hand or a four leaf clover. It was some time before I discovered it was a brand new area." "Now about the maria, if they are due to some kind of vegetation ( incidentally I don't know why we keep saying it's some low form of vegetation; we don't know whether it's high, low, or middle ) but if it is vegetation, it must be something quite different from anything we know. It doesn't seem to be just barely struggling along in spite of the harsh conditions; it appears to be growing luxuriantly."
So, now we have better telescopes and camera's why is Mars still being advertised as just a dusty old planet?
