Human beings represent an endless deck of cards from which an infinite number and type of winning (or losing) hands can be drawn. The whole key to human development is in population. The number of well-fed, educated humans (haves) that thrive in the world is in direct proportion to the number and sosphistication of technological, social, musical, artistic discovery and innovation. It's reminds me of the old ethnic number joke..."How many <insert your ethnic group here> does it take to screw in a light bulb?" I paraphrase, how many humans does it take to invent a light bulb? I suspect the answer is the ratio of educated productive humans within the population of the earth at that time. In the late 1800's the population was, lets say, 75 million. 75 million well fed educated humans in a population of maybe, a billion? How about a television?. 1920's population of haves may have needed 150 million in a population of say2 billion? I believe mankind in sufficent numbers can accomplish anything! A type of warp drive? 50 billion haves. Teleportation? 140 billion. A time machine?...Well it can be done...you just need the numbers. Where will we get and house these numbers? Don't worry, just feed and educate the ones in your midst right now. Each one represents a chance and a truth. A unique truth of value to all of us. Because of the amount of poverty the world endures and all that comes with it (war, vice, corruption, etc.) we are wasting billions of lives and billions of possible solutions and discoveries. "Be fruitful and multiply" is truely the only way we can conquer the universe!.
