Is the Nuclear Arms Race a cover for Scorched Earth Alien Invasion Policy?

Have we told the Aliens that if they invade Earth, we will render it lifeless with nuclear weapons.

Are Russia and America really "enemies"

Is this why they call communism a "red herring"

Why have weapons that can destroy the earth 5-20 times over?

To keep the Aliens from attacking?

It is possible that the aliens are orchestrating the wars on the earth, so by using up all our resources against other humanbeings, we'll have nothing left to defend ourselves when they decide
to invade. They will evacuate the Earth, by rounding up the humanrace like cattle, with heat beams that sting but don't kill. The 3rd world war will make our planet unlivable place, that we'll have no choice but do what the aliens want. The Biblical Revelation says some people will think that what is happening isn't right. Those who have seen the feature movie ID4 (Independence Day) should get the general idea, as actors & actresses of the show talked about the serious implications of ID4. So much of the movie seemed like verses out of the book of Revelation.
