New to the whole time travel

I thought I'd introduce myself as someone who is interested in time travel. I always have ever since I was a child, I got back to reading physics and Einstein to learn more about it.

I think I want to go back in the past to warn myself about something in the future. It sounds impossible, but I think I'll be doing myself a favor. Go back about 4 years in June 2002, anyone have any solutions or am I just dreaming in the clouds?
 
You can travel into the future easily.
 
I'm not really much interested in the future, thank you anyways. It's just like Einstein traveled back to stop Hitler in Command and Conquer Red Alert. There is no fate but what we make is something I should've had as my motto long ago from the Terminator films.

Anyone? I just want to get my life back on track a long time ago.

Just another question: Is it possible to help your past self and can you not see yourself in the past?
