New time travel paradox Discussion

Temporal Novice
I honestly believe that there is a finite amount of matter that exists in the universe, and this cannot be increased or decreased, only manipulated. Extrapolating from this, I assume that given the reality of time travel, it would be impossible to travel within the same universe as one would either increase or decrease the amount of available matter in that given universe. For this reason, I believe that it would be impossible for an individual to be in the same universe, so an individual and his/her time travelling duplicate could exist in the exact same place and time, but in a different universe or dimension. Thinking this way has allowed me to think about time travel in depth, and write a few bits of flash fiction, without running into paradoxes.

Do you know what would happen if an objects future self and present self were placed at the same time but not the same place?I have two solutions for this.Solution number one is that the two spaces would become one making all the objects merge in both spaces.Solution two would be that another universe would be created every time you did this to prevent objects from merging. This would cause a type of teleportation effect.
Yep, the typical Multi-Worldline theory states that every time we make a decision and/or time travel, we are creating a new universe, so paradoxes wouldn't form. Unfortunately, we haven't found anyone to prove this to us....yet...... I do wonder if souls and/or consciousness could merge, though.
Nice topic. Gets you thinking.
