Any Ideas what this is?
 
that is very interesting.
my first thought was skeptical. i thought the missle was too big, but after pondering on it for a moment, and thinking about it, i would think that planes, missles, and anything else above ground would look larger from a sattelites point of view.

may i ask how you found this? were you just searching the map, or something else?
 
Found it on anther site , currently they belive it is a plane, if you look at the bject closely on the sides, you can see the wings have been darkened, also the 2 trains instead of one is another indicator.

Other peplethink that gogle earth was hacked r that it is indeed a tomahawk.

from looking at the local air force base in my town, i would say its probably fake. the missle is around 10x larger than any plane on the base.

but i will say this: theres alot more strange stuff in that area.

from the site you gaave me it says:
"If the model adheres to Google's submission guidelines, you can select the Google Earth Ready box and upload the image for consideration." <-- So i dont think uploading a missile picture will be considered or accepted without proof no?

The most accepted answer is that the picture shown is a plane but the image was modifed on purpose to give the illusion of a missile. Modified by who? no one knows yet but it had to be Google staff or a hacker having fun....

maybe the missle was overlooked? doesent look like a plane at all when looking at the air force base in my hometown. look up columbus air force base, theres tons of planes out there. none of them are near the size of the missle.

in my opinion, it was just overlooked at google. maybe it was someone trying to get a kick.
if it was a missle, thats purdy big!
