Meditation and time travel

Forrest Long

Temporal Novice
I'm writing this to discuss the effects of meditation on time travel. I meditate almost every day for about ten minutes. It brings me inner peace and helps my breathing while exercising, but is there more to it than that? Could meditation actually help someone to time travel? I want to hear strange experiences everyone else has had while meditating.

Part 1

I have experienced my things while meditating, I warn anyone who dives into the deep realms. if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you, Nietzsche.

I do not know how to explain it, I believe one can align with other versions of yourself being good, bad, future, or past.

The first step is find a nice safe peaceful place (trees, wilderness...) - next imagining yourself Dead of natural causes - you have given your last breath and you lay on the floor lifeless. Look at yourself understand this will be you one day and until you can accept this, absorb this idea, live this idea, reflect this idea, and let go... do not move forward.

Once you have let go and you are at peace with your life, ( if you feel a grasp because of kids, or other unresolved issues - please imagine your kids grown and happy or the issues resolved in your mind with the actions that solve them) begin meditation (part 2).

Too many people, for a myriad of reasons, already suffer an existential crisis (despair). It is for the very fact that we are multifaceted creatures that the majority of the philosophy flies in the face of sanctity-- everything about mankind that is truly worth valuing and, thus, preserving, i.e. his intrinsic worth.  That fact is evidenced by anyone whom might actually want to imagine himself adequately dead to be impeded from moving forward.

People are to varying degrees suggestible.  So, it is important for us to be careful about what messages we internalize.  Also questionable about many types of meditation is what I refer to as the ‘emptying process’ where vacuousness is encouraged.  Granted that clearing one’s mind of extraneous thoughts isn’t bad, nothing is emptied that isn’t somehow refilled, e.g. drain a pitcher of water, and it’s full of air.

Emptied, I only long to be filled with goodness itself.  In an illusory world of false paradigms, that is neither always easy nor possible.  Yet, as believing home heaven is transcendence itself, how better to rest or find peace than to mentally immerse oneself its sanctuary?
