Watching the reports on the devastation in New Orleans was heart-breaking and I just have to express my deepest sorrow for all those effected by this tragic event.
I am praying for those still waiting for assistance and I have donated what I could to some rescue agencies.
This will have an impact on so many people for so long, and I hope everyone can set aside thier differences and come together to help these folks out. The day come upon us all, when we will need help and hopefully, our action now, will have an impact on a future disaster and perhaps more people will be saved from living through such a horrible event.
 
I agree OvrLrd, and I think this thread can be on-topic. Events from the Past have changed people's lives for the worst, and we now have the Present to do something about it to help. And as for the Future, may we all take home a lesson from this such that we are all, personally and collectively, prepared for such events should they come to our corners of space-time.
