Locations in Dreams

I almost forgot. About 2 years ago I saw a location in a dream like any other..

I had no suspicions until I accidently found this place in my town 2 or 3 months after the dream.. I have never been there for second time but I want to go and check it out again cause im not clearly remembered it.

Somewhere I read that maybe some dreams are showing you places you will be in the future.

IF this is true, maybe when I go to this place I will create the image of the future that I saw in the dream which makes a circle.

Have you ever dreamed of a place you have never seen and you feel that it exist somewhere ?? (I have heard about other ppl saw a dream like this too)

I never have, but I’ve known a couple of people experience something similar. It was always a location that would end up being constructed a couple of years after the person dreamed about it. This is one phenomenon that has always made me wonder about sleep/dreaming as a vehicle for reality-traveling, or time-travel.

Sometimes when I am sleeping I see a place or people I know there and seems real, but when you wake up you don't have that in the mind anymore and I do at times think what if it is near me and what it means as well. My mum does have dreams of people who have died in our family, and they are in younger form and in our house in my country of origin which is Fiji and shocking they are there. Dreams can be hard to explain and sometimes, you want to stay in bed and see what happens further on but awake in the morning.

There are lots of people that can predict things like this.

I've even thought the possibility of what we think we predict when we see it reemplaces the dream in our memory.

Example: You dreamed with that location. But you did not really dream with that location. You dreamed with "a location", but not a specific one. Later, you see that location, and you believe to know that you dreamed with that location but you didn't. This would be a very strong effect in the brain, analog/analogue/analogous to allucinations with the people that think what they see is real.

But i think is more probable of mankind not realising this ability is posible. Why...?

I've wondered why some people can predict the future for a long time.. I gave up because i had no tools for experimenting and internet is full of inventions about paranormal.

I've experienced dreaming of places I've never been to before, but the moment I wake up I usually forget the details about this place and what remains is a vague picture of it. I wonder why we easily forget some dreams the moment we wake up? It intrigues me every time when I see places I've never seen before in my dreams. I have no idea what they mean or if they mean something, but I believe it's the closest to time travel I can get.

I have similar experiences regarding dreams, but they aren't limited to just places. I sometimes dream about someone saying something, and it happens in real life later. I have tried explaining this to some people, but they think its purely coincidental. I don't think this is déjà vu, to be honest. Are we using our minds as a time travel machine already, without us knowing it?

Most of the locations in my dreams are similar to the places I know in real life, but they are rarely exactly the same. I know they are not the same in my dreams. Usually my dreams are weird, I have some sort of crisis or problem that I need to fix. And then it seems as if the place will be against me. So I have to find several items. I then find one, and put it in a central location, when I go to find another item the first item disappears.

So I am not sure where these places are in my dreams.

I usually dream something that exists in real world but I don't remember that I dreamed something which doesn't exists or some fancy locations. But I could be easly mistaken because because I don't pay too much attention on what I do or what I visit when while I'm dreaming.

I have read somewhere that dreams maybe sometimes saw you memories of yourself from another worldline...From a world where you went to certain places and you didn't in the current world.

I know brain is a complicated but an interesting thing too. But I doubt that it has a connection with time travel...

Yes, it has happened to me a lot of times and it is kind of scary. I think that our subconcious mind travels in the future while we are asleep and gathers information. Since that part of our brain is responsible for our dreams things can malfunction and we find out about some things that we weren't supposed to know.

That is a bit odd but any place I dream of is places I go to a lot. Though its not completely impossible to think of someplace that already exists that you could have seen briefly and forgot about.

Thinking about this further, the locations in my dreams tend to be familiar, but something’s always off. For example, the layout of a building I’ve visited frequently will have some slight changes and I’ll end up going down the wrong corridor. Or the building will be the same, but the outdoor setting will be slightly different. I don’t know if it means anything, like I’m visiting a slightly altered reality, but it does have a bit of the surreal about it in any case.
