"John Titor" was a joke. How do I know? Because I KNOW "John Titor". HE is ME. "John" is my father's name and "Titor" is a variation of my last name which I will not reveal for fear of people trying to contact me about it. I live in Central Florida, and my whole family has gone to the University of Florida. I confess it now, because I had not realized until recently how famous, or infamous, "John Titor" had become, as I am not a regular of conspiracy/paranormal/etc. forums and web sites. I don't want people to think that it was real. I did it because I was bored with the internet one day and decided to have a little fun by pretending I was someone from the future. I got the idea after watching the Bruce Willis movie "12 Monkeys". If you watch the movie and read the posts you'll find a lot of similarities. As for all of the "proofs" given; they are all either fake or belonging to something else. I'm sorry for wasting the time of anyone who spent their time researching "John Titor". If you ever see the name "John Titor" in any other forum, then it is not me, it would be someone pretending to be me. I am here to end the hoax. I never thought it would become so famous. I never thought it would even become famous at all. I have come to know that some people are making money of the "John Titor" hoax, and I think it is wrong. I doubt that this post will rectify it. Most people will ignore it, because they want to believe the myth. They will pass me off as some sort of disinformation agent or someone seeking to discredit "John Titor". But the fact is that I am "John Titor". There are no secret messages or meanings behind this post or any of the "John Titor" posts, so don't even try to find meaning. It is pure hoax. It wasn't meant to be harmful, just fun, but it turned out to be more harmful than fun. Boredom can cause a lot of trouble. There are enough conspiracies and such out there, and I don't need to add to them. Once again, I'm sorry, and it's your prerogative if you choose to believe me or not. I suspect that you wont. I am not going to reveal my identity or reply to any posts because I don't want the "fame" of being the John Titor hoaxer. I just want to put an end to the monster I created. Goodbye.
