I believe I may know the identity of John Titor and have taken a “social engineering†approach from my earlier days when I did endeavor in that art, and have decided to name the person and with no malice as I hold the highest regard for a man of that stature, academia and genius. I name Karl Simanonok as John Titor and with no slander and much speculation will present my argument.

I was curious as to why somebody would go to the trouble of copyrighting the archives so I began to delve.
Although I could not find a claim of ownership on that site I resolved the IP to simanonok.com. Both Domains lead to the same server.

This Domain name displays the same IP number and resides on the same server as johntitor.strategicbrains.com. This confirmed the ownership issue.
Wanting to know more about this individual, i decided to search for clues with the information that was available, wondering if there was anything in this man's personal life, affiliations, opinions or statements that would mirror those of John Titor, and this is what i found.
Dr Karl attended Florida state university where he wrote his thesis on How to reduce radiation after a nuclear disaster and currently lives in Long Beach CA
Karl is a Ph.D and holds degrees in National Aeronautics and Space Administration from the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center University of California-Davis., his political affiliations are Libertarian and he is a member of the Blue Ribbon Campaign Civil Liberties Group and helped fight to stop the telecom bill of 1996. Karl is also a Certified ColdFusion 5 and perl Developer and was the team leader for the Davis Institute where he helped build an interactive computer model. Karl is a member of the Noetic Advanced Studies Institute which deals with shifting the values and consciousness of humanity towards the future and has written an essay titled A PROPOSED MECHANISM FOR CONSCIOUSNESS VIA PHYSIOLOGICALLY FUNCTIONAL ENDOGENOUS LIGHT, which elaborates on how some basic mechanisms may be organized to support consciousness in the brain.
Karl has also managed a blood lab at a northern California clinic.
Karls brother Dr. Jack Simanonok is the founder of the Mardi Gras Libertarians in New Orleans, Louisiana and ran for candidacy in that state, much of his writing mirrors that of his brother karl/John Titor’s political viewpoints, the following statement making reference to American meddling and harassment of the Soviets -> "terrorism is primarily a backlash against Washington's meddlesome global interventionist foreign policy... And ironically, to harass the Soviets". Jack has won the lights of liberty award by the Advocates for Self-Government, a Libertarian award for his accomplishments.

I think only someone with Dr Karl Simanonok’s credentials would be skilled enough to orchestrate the John Titor story, to promote the values held by Libertarians.
The above is purely speculative and I welcome any thoughts on the matter, although this will be my first and last post as I have resolved to maintain my lurker status ( unless i change my mind
