Found an article that was written where someone tried to answer this question. What do you think of their answer? They mentions Albert Einstein's theory of relativity in the article, but I don't think they truly have a grasp of the concept of time travel. I'll let you decide.

According to Steven Hawking time travel is possible, but is has something to do with worm holes and black holes. I think you have to go through the worm hole, so probably a human being would not be able to survive passing throught. Steven Hawking is a lot smarter then all of us, so maybe he has a grasp on it. So theoretically time travel is possible, whether it is actually possible from a practical perspective I don't know.

 
It is very hard to understand, and something which even if does happen can lead to differnt possibilities and also it can lead to something which can have consequenses which a person maynot be able to change. I think the explanation is hard and also it can be hard to know if a person does travel what other things can occur and maybe something will occur which will be a thing which can bring others things into place as well. I think it may not be possible as, time can cause changes and also it will be a thing which can use a lot of energies and also a thing which may cause the time machine to change and also the time may go too far back or front as well.

You're correct. The writer doesn't have a firm grasp of the topic.

I am confident time travel into the future is possible, but we would need to develop some very advanced technology to do it.

Special Relativistic time travel to the future is a reality and we have the technology to do it today. It's a one-way trip but it is possible with our technology.

Time travel to the past is more difficult. We do not understand the science as well.

We do not understand the science at all. We have no viable theory to time travel to the past - we don't even know if it is possible. The state of the science tends to it not being possible.

Actually, scientists and engineers who plan and operate some space missions must account for the time distortions that occur because of both General and Special Relativity. These effects are far too small to matter in most human terms or even over a human lifetime. However, very tiny fractions of a second do matter for the precise work necessary to fly spacecraft throughout the solar system.

The effects are very noticeable. The GPS system must be constantly re-callibrated in order to maintain accuracy.

 
LMAO when I read your post Darby I was very confused because I did not remember saying all of that. Then I realized that they were quotes from other members just their names were not on it. Man, for a second there I thought I was saying things and not knowing I was saying them.
