Is Fate/Destiny predetermined

no, it is not. However, you cant change the future from what it will be, because what it will be is defined as the outcome of whatever you do. So whatever you do just makes the future into what it is going to be!

well i believe it is and it isnt.. to some extent fate is preordained.. i think we as individuals have some control over what occurs.. otherwise life would be nothing more than a story thats signficance is nullified. however i think a notion of fate would be acceptable whereby larger events eg: ww2, great depression etc are inevitable.. the exact dates they occur, even some of the reasons for them would be interchangeable.. yet there is a force driving everyone toward a common goal, i feel a real sense of inevitability about many things.. surely there would be severe repercussions in changing the fate of mankind...

But if you have seen the future then technically you can change it because you have seen an option of future and are given the choice to choose another (this is if you could see the future).

how can you change what you saw? What you change it to would be what you saw in the beginning, since what you saw is the future and when you look back you would still see the future. Its like the paradox of the past. You cant change the past, because the past has already existed. If you changed it to another past, a different you would exist, and you wouldnt have gone back and changed the past, but then you WOULD have gone back, but then you wouldnt...

PS by the way, you cannot see "versions of the future", thats only in movies. There is one future, defined as the outcome of the events of the present.
