Intersteller Communication

The way forward.
Information can be transfered via light. Light travels very fast and is easliy detectable.
Imagine if past and present civilizations were contributing to this Intersteller Net?
That's how we will first hear and communicate with other civilizations.

Bouncing light specifically off the star's rays, piggybacking signals across the universe.

I would go on to say that as mathematics is a constant language and the golden ratio an identifiable pattern, so these would be the best way to send/receive messages?

What do you think?

Use a high-intensity pion beam aimed at a star and modulate it in order to vary the rate of nuclear fission in the star's core. This *may* result in modulation of the star's brightness, something visible for light years. "Twinkling" stars used as communication.

Or you could use a more direct route and shoot neutrinos across the galaxy, as they hardly interact with matter, whereas light bounces off interstellar dust clouds and such things.

Troll. very good!
I would be more interested in receiving information right now. How would you detect a pion beam?

How would you record a pion beam? What is a pion beam?

Imagine that. Information beamed by light at the speed of light.

I think that we seem to be able to do that already. Something about a guy named Macarroni, Marcini...Marconi. Something like that. Invented a wireless communication gadget that used certain frequencies of light to transmit unformation. Around 1895 or so. ;)

With a half-life of about 2 microseconds (assuming they are traveling near the speed of light as viewed from the rest frame) you're going to need to have a whole bunch of pions and be very close to the star. The speed of light is 300,000,000 m sec^-1 so half of the pions will decay in 2 ms after traveling only 600 meters.

What is it you plan to fission in the core of a star? Hydrogen? Nothing to fission because it only has a single proton. Helium? Good luck trying to fission helium. It's possible but very energy inefficient (the output will be less than the input). You could bombard the star with pions and the interaction with helium would produce tritium. The problem is that it would take far more energy to create the pions than the additional D-T fusion you might get from the new tritium made available. The sun consumes about 600 million tons of matter per second so you're, again, going to need a whole bunch of pions to increase the luminosity for even a microsecond.

Honestly, wouldn't it be a lot easier to build a huge radio transmitter than trying to manipulate an entire star? Light is light whether it is radio frequency or the visible spectrum of a star.

Interesting Darby. Do you think it could be possible to further radio transmission progress to the point from Earth to Mars?

Unless the Mars rover "Curiosity" is sending smoke signals I believe that we may have already solved the problem. ;)

Yeah, but how quick is the communication? Seems like it gets longer each time we are further away right? Moon was a little low going back and forth is this quicker with the technology we have now?

What we need to start doing is figuring out how to tap into consciousness. Consciousness is faster than the speed of light. For instance - You have identical twins. One is in Canada, the other in Australia. (Twin A) in Australia gets killed by a wombat. The split second that (Twin A) gets killed, Twin B in Canada has a gut feeling that something terrible has happened to their sibling. THAT is what we need to be trying to tap into! That invisible consciousness. On some alternate universe, something is occurring that is sending information back and forth.

Here's a theory I have come up with (I personally have not read up on this theory, or have heard of anyone sharing my views...) Suppose that consciousness is the ultimate information super highway. Who's to say that, for instance, when you experience deja vu, or find yourself in a situation where you know what the outcome will be, because of a gut feeling, you weren't communicating with a future version of yourself consciously, and relaying that information back to yourself to give you the "Heads up" on what might happen. On a conscious level, we might be able to speak with ourselves to see how a specific outcome of a certain upcoming event may unfold. That mental tap with ourselves could be the reason we hear mental chatter within out heads from time to time. Certain thoughts that enter our mind that we brush off, could very well be, ourselves trying to communicate and gather info from ourselves. Psychics, mediums, astral projector's, etc. are probably more in touch with their consciousness, and can control their abilities in the same manner as I have described. But I don't know. Any insight from you folks?

Thanks, :)

Mike

So, I have an outcome. I know that I will be happy if I be with this woman, but I know we both won't be happy if we aren't together. I just met her but I know the about this. I just want to be with her but not rush it. I like the outcome of us together and I know I'll be okay without her but it won't be as joyful.

Live in the now with that one brutha! The simpler the better when it comes to trying to guess an outcome in my opinion. Aim for happiness and if you don't see that immediately, run! ;)

Yes, well, my daughter Dominique Michele told me that this timeline is opposite. Heaven is Hell and Hell is Heaven. Perfection is imperfection and imperfection is perfection. Some people say that they "lucked out" and then something wonderful happened. Well, where I am from that would mean that you are lucky and lucked out meant that something bad happened to you. So this timeline is really confusing to me.

I have a similar idea, however it uses millions of colors in a 3D cylinder of light. See my post in the "new science" section.

But across space?

You need watch these videoes. He has interesting way to transmit information acrossed the galaxy and universe. They are youtube videos.

But across space?

Of course across space. That's what "wireless communication" is - transmission of EM radiation through space instead of along a wire. We've been generating EM radiation "communication" in one form or another for about 200 years so our signals have traveled about 200 LY across the Milky Way Galaxy. Actually they have traveled in a sphere with a radius of ~200 LY. In another 2.5 million years they will reach the Andromeda Galaxy, our closest neighbor galaxy.
