Interesting that the incas beleived a major transformation would occurr in 2012 and Titor predicted 2015. Below I just grabbed some interesting snippets, there are many theories reagarding the Incas end date:

The Mayan Calendar - The World Will Not End

Winter Soltice. Interesting that this is mentioned. Anyone ever hear of a burial tomb in Ireland called Newgrange? It's 5000 years old - predating the Pyramids by 1000 years!! - and is an amazing structure. For nearly 4000 years this tomb was hidden away because of its resemblence to a simple hill. The tomb is actually under the hill which in turn is surrounded by a wall of white stone. It's not as impressive as any pyramid or Mayan construct by it is amazing that it has remained completely waterproof for over 5000 years!

Anyway the point of my reference is that on Dec 21st just before 9o'clock GMT every year the rising sun lights up the entire inner chamber. This is a once a year event that occurs due to a amazingly precise slot in the roof. Only a few people are allowed in for the event each year.

According to the Gregorian calendar, the millennium starts on Jan.1,2001, because the calendar places Jesus Christ's birth at year 01 A.D. not zero. So, if a millennium is a thousands years, then the first millennium lasted from the year 1 to the end of the year 1000, the second began at the start of the year 1001 and ends Dec.31, 2000.

The problem stems from the work of Dionysius Exiguus, a.k.a. Dennis the Little, a sixth-century monk. The pope of that time gave Dennis the task of reconciling the calendars of the Eastern and Western Churches to figure out the proper day for celebrating Easter. Using the Roman calendar, Dennis counted backward to detemine the date of the first Easter. Then, he reset the way years were numbered to correspond with Jesus' birth. Before that, years were measured either from the founding of Rome or from the ascension of the emperor.

Dennis fixed Jesus' birth as 1 A.D. (Anno Domini, "the year of our Lord") becuose in the mathematics of that time, zero didn't exist; the Western world was introduced to it a few centuries later by the Arabs.

That's why the third millennium starts Jan.01.2001. Except, there's still another problem with Dennis' calculatons.

When Dennis worked backward to fix the date of Jesus' birth, he actually miscalculated by a few yaers. Biblical scholars now figure Jesus' actual date of birth was sometime between 7 B.C. and 4 B.C.; putting the start of the third millennium sometime between 1994 and 1997.

That three-year window was set by matching dates to the Bible story. The Bible tells us Jesus was born during the reign of king Herod. According to the first-century historian Josephus, Herod died shortly before the annual Jewish Passover and shortly after a lunar eclipse. Astronomers know that there were eclipses in 5 B.C., 4 B.C. and 1 B.C. The consensus is that Herod died in 4 B.C. So that puts Jesus birth before 4 B.C.

There is still another problem if you were intent on celebrating the 2000th anniversary of Jesus' birth. Dennis ' calendar was supposed to be based on Jesus' birth. But, he started the New Year on Jan. 1, not the traditional Dec. 25, supposedly to coincide with Jesus' circumcision (but not coincidentally the same New Year date that was already celebrated on the Roman calendar).

Of course, Jesus wasn't actually born on Dec. 25. Scholars say it was likely picked by the Church to lure pagan converts who would have been celebrating the winter solstice around that time. Nobody knows the actual birth date................so, Happy millennium, whenever you pick to have it........

EDIT: Point is... the current year is actually 2008.
So, as you see, the Incans' year 2012 is actually a lot closer to Titor's 2015.

Just to add, the Winter Soltice starting in 21/12 is know as the period of time when various pagan and Satanic Cults start theyr "celebrations" and whatnot. Some including sacrifices, especially in 21/12.

The prophecy of 2012 is supposed to be the beginning of the path to the scourge. On that date, our world and the world of magic begin to intersect. Causing new species, the birth of dragons, death, destruction, and mayhem.

I beleive at the Inca end-date earths equater will be alligned with the milky way. Happens only every 26000 years so how did some people with no written language know that this would occurr without a little help?

I don't beleive in John Titor per se either, but it has seriously made me interested in the subject of time travel and the transition into a new world order. It seems to me that human eveolution is a cycle. We hit a rut kill alot of people, then we have good times, times of rebuilding and etc...then this process happens all over again. It seems like we may be begining a transitional era...I mean, i think one would have to blind not to see it.

I also beleive, via paintings, writings, sightings, accomplishments of past civilizations, science, etc... that time travel is indeed possible and there are individuals out there that are exploiting that technology.

So in short, interesting article.

It's such a massive thread i'll try to direct my post to the first one.
Maybe this has already been said, but in the book Trialogues at the edge of the West Terrence Mckenna and Ralph Abraham do some interesting talk in relation to time travel, the maya end date, and the end of history. Terrence explains just one imagined scenario (i don't know why but i think diamonds will have a lot to do with the technology of time travel) that could happen on 21/12. he explains that it could be the invention of the time machine, thus ending history. its often said 21/12 is the end of the world, but he emphasises that its the end of history, and in the the hypothesis of this being caused by a time machine, he says that you've got this person strapped in, timewave zero is counting down, whether its 2012, 2015 or whatever, timewave zero will always be the day the first time machine takes off, the moment that happens, history becomes but a memory, a photograph, or a record, and all past human acheivments will be seen as leading up to that point, the point of the first moment of time travel. once that moment occurs, we, no matter how occult or esoteric you think it may sound, actually do acsend or catapult into a new universe. We are in a universe where the old laws of time dont hold true anymore. Furthermore, Ralph goes onto say, that a time machine can't exist in a universe where time machines don't exist, thus we can't go back before it was invented, and, thats why its the end of history. History doesn't happen anymore because your sort of in this one moment universe. Also, its not time travel. Its time/space travel. Also, in the future, its like there are millions of people or beings or whatever all over the timewave universe completely aware of all historic moments because they exist in time travel universe, their actually waiting for us to advance to that technological point, so, when we do get there, millions of time machines will arive to greet us, and theoretically, it will be possible to know all aspects of physics, answers of the human condition, god and universe questions right up until the last moment of existence. Right in the moment the first person goes 'pop', and there we are.

Crazy ideas huh? very good book!
