I think there is little doubt they are the best team in the NBA right now. And old man Derek Fisher still has some clutch 3 pointers in him!

Only one more win, and it will be Party Time LA Style!

Derek was clutch last night. Good for the old man. Maybe Brian Shaw will make a come back after watching Derek. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congratulations Lakers!

I would like to thank my Los Angeles Lakers for becoming the 2009 NBA Champions!!!!

Thank you Kobe, Derek, Pau, Lamar, Trevor, Luke, Jordan, Andrew, Sasha and all the rest of the team!

And thank you Phil Jackson for your continuing contributions to the LA Laker Organization.

We are the champions!

It's that time of year again, Darby! Now that we have swept the Jazz (will Derek Fisher EVER get old?), it is time to begin siteing the line for the PHX Suns. It is certainly not going to be as easy as Utah, but I am going to say Lakers going to the Finals in 6 games.

Well, Lakers are in it 2-2 in the end against the Celtics and the next game is Sunday.

My mom is a big Lakers fan ever since she moved down to southern Cali 12 years ago, but recently moved up to Northern Cali about 2 years ago and is still a Lakers fan. Well, I guess she's always been a Lakers fan since her high school was the Lakers. More recently it's shown though.

I've been able to keep up with the finals since I have very basic cable and it's on abc.

Next game: Sunday June 13th 2010, 5pm PST ABC.

See who can come out ahead.

Sharpz,

Good for Mom. What? She's going to be a SF Warriors, err...Golden State Warriors fan? The Warriors haven't won anything other than being ahead of the Clippers since about 1980. But who hasn't been ahead of the Clips since ...well...they left San Diego? The Clippers are the worst team in US professional sports ever if one considers their record overall or year-by-year.

Yeah she wasn't a basketball fan when she used to live in the bay area, but she went down south for a decade and came back rooting for the Lakers. I said Northern California so she could have been close to the Kings as well. My brother roots for the Kings since he's there. When I mentioned the Kings and the warriors to her recently if she would root for them and well she just didn't want to now that she's back in the bay area. When it comes to other sports like football and baseball, she roots for San Francisco over Oakland.

Edit: I haven't picked a team for a while to root for, but it would be fun to root for the Lakers since my Uncles are ABL (Anything But (the) Lakers)and are mainly Trailblazer fans.

Lakers tied it up and won the last one with a big lead.

If I remember correctly the next time they'll be on will be this Thursday at 6pm.
The final game to determine who wins it.

This is how all Lakers-Celtics Finals should go down... all the way to game 7! And home court advantage is most delicious. All we need to do is maintain dominance on the boards, and make sure our bench puts in a mediocre performance.

And once again my beloved LA Lakers are champions of the NBA!

Now let's do a little recap:

1) Back to back titles!
2) FIVE titles for both Kobe and Derek Fisher!

How
