Temporal Novice
I am new to this board and this is my first post.
I bring you no monumental news.. nothing earthshaking. However, I have on occasion, had the pleasure of time travel. I am not on drugs. I am a normal guy that makes $750 per week.
I know a few things about time travel.... but I don't have the energy to explain too much now.
I say that it is do-able and simple. You need no machine or knowlege of physics. Niether is it a "psycic" experience. (Please forgive my poor spelling.)
Three weeks ago was my most recent experience. It lasted a few minutes both here and there.
Man, I got to tell you that it was great ! I went to the fall of 1966 (guessing)on a street where there was a news stand. I did not have the presence of mind to look at the date on the papers, I was so involved in the sights, sounds and smells of that moment. I spoke with two men and a young woman.
I caught myself starring at the first man's wool suit and hat. and the cars. The man in the wool suit had driven up to the curb and got out of a BRAND NEW 1966 Ford sedan. the other car that I studied was a Buick. Used. circa '49'-51 I guess. The money was different. Mercury dimes. Old dollars. Many things flooded my sences. I spoke words to them. Thinking back, I guess that the words were what they needed to hear. I was just blasting away in my excitement.... but managed to control myself. The young woman appeared to be a college student. I think she wore Charley perfume.
I did not do anything profound. I just took in the moment and spoke and listened. I think that I did my job. Thinking back, I would bet that my visit was for their benefit more than mine.
I do not wish to be ridiculed and assaulted. I seek no fame. I have no desire to "teach" this to anyone.
I maintain that time travel IS NOT an amusement ride. It is not done with math, science or hocus-pocus. It is available to the sincere and simple enough for a young child to understand. Unfortunately, a library of volumes would not be sufficient for most critics and sceptics.
If you seek time travel for the sake of time travel itself, you will not find it. It comes to you as a result of something else. something greater, to be sure. Sort of like a by-product. A treat. Icing on the cake.
I did not go looking to discover time travel per sey. Sure, everyone thinks about it. Same with me.
And I had some pretty good ideas about it. Things that people don't really consider.
Let me give you a taste....
If you read a book about the civil war... You Have time travelled.... But in a very small (but NOT insignificant way) I say that YES you have ! 2. If you relive a memory, you have (in a small way) gone back in time. 3. If you set a goal and saw yourself accomplishing something in the future,,, then you have gone foreward in time somewhat. Those are basics for now.
Then there is a REAL visit. I tell you that you are here and there simultaniously. Now, this is not an event that you command or conjure-up. You do not strap into a machine and set the dials. No, no.
There is nothing special about me. Forget it, man. Of the events that I was privy to, those people that I visited were special. They seemed to be the focus. Life is precious and these folks seemed to need a word.... or something.
I have heard talk about some kind of a "prime directive" . I don't know what that is . I guess it concerns interfering with history. I disagree. I know that there seems to be room enough to accomplish a task... here and there.
OK. enough for now.
