I am proud of my students...current and former!

I recently received an email from a former student of mine who is now starting his senior year in the aerospace engineering curriculum at Cal Poly University, Pomona, California. I thought I would share this email with my friends here... and there is a certain forum member/friend here who knows how much I wish he would get into an engineering program! /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

<font color="red"> Professor Hudson,

How are you? I hope everything is good. Professor, thank you for providing such good advice such as gut checks, minding units, and relaxing prior to any test or exam. The advise has truly helped my classmates and I.

This past summer I took feedback and automated control (ARO 322) with Dr. Bhandari and I recognized the bode plots you taught us in aircraft performance (ARO 202L). I liked the subject so much that I asked Dr. Bhandari to involve me in his senior project team. Instead, he decided to place me and a 3 other in a project involving the development of UAV helicopter using a piccolo autopilot. At this point in time we are beginning to run hardware-in-the loop simulations. Also I just had my first lecture for stability and control (ARO 405) and I know I am going to have a great time in that class.

I attached a poster we developed for the UAV helicopter. Thank you for all of your help and inspiration. You should definitely come back to make a difference when you can. Keep up the great work.

Sincerely,[/COLOR]
