Okay but that puts a unique paradox into play.
You called yourself from the future in order to warn yourself of a death the which your future self should be blissfully unaware of as well.
Unless your future self traveled to the future in order to witness said doom and gloom in which case why warn you, your future self is already aware of the peril and is capable of taking the appropriate action with absolutely no need to hassle you about it.
Now if again it's not death let's just say dismemberment or it causes some future divorce whatever another paradox. By warning your self you may take a different choice than you naturally would that could probably have far less than the desired consequences.
Instead of staying in school to achieve whatever degrees you need to participate in said time experiment you drop out and become worst case scenario a meth addict. Oh thank you future me I'm so much better off now than whatever minuscule thing it was that inconvenienced you.
Why is it that people always claim to try to change or take things. Ignore the warning even on the remote possibility it's your future self as your future self must be unaware of this paradox as well
Which brings up my last remark and this is of no personal attack to your present self. But write this one word down and keep it tucked in your wallet purse whatever for your future self to read "that word is "Live".
Even if you die "so what" everything dies from Bacteria to Universes Sure the amount of time varies but it's still only finite. If nothing died why and how would we reference time and desire to travel it to see what others were like on a personal level thats what time travel is about it's the ultimate expression of anthropology to see to feel to touch to live like they did or will. No need to get involved in the logistics of knowing the time and place of your own demise Simply LIVE for the moment wherever it is, If you spend all the time gloom and dooming yourself you not a very decent time traveler to begin with are you..

bcause if my future self was ringing form the future, to warn me of sometihng bad thats going to happen in the future like death... for my future self to get to the future in the first plce he would have to get a warning from another future me not to die... but then that future me to warn the other future me would have not to die in the first place meaning he got a warning. The only explanation that i can tink of is that my original timeline was not to die. So my future self made it to the 'future." But me or someone else went back in time and changed someitnhg creating an alternate timeline in which i die, which my future self supposeldy saves me form....I AM SO CONFUSED!?!?!?!?

I asusmed it was me....as the caller ide was me...it could have been somone else using my phone.
I also did assume that the call came form the future as it was my phone. How could i call myself and answer and start talking to myself? It is possible it came from a paralell reality (if thy exist). It also could of came from the past but i doubt that.

So the bottom line is that you really don't know who called and the assumptions are just that - assumptions.
If, in fact, this event occured as described then your assumption that it had to be a future you ignores some techno-reality.
Caller ID spoofing is easily accomplished with the right equipment, some knowledge and a will to do it. There are several methods that can be used and none of them involve parallel realities, time travel or doppleganger twins making poor quality phone calls from the future just to leave a cryptic message.
It sounded like me but then again alot of people have my voice so it is possible that i have just been spoofed but i was sure that it was me but unless something happens i think well never know for sure but then again it is up to the opinions of the readers

It very confusing, espicially that bit about not marrying someone or just whatever, it creates a paradox. If i heed my future self warning and i do not go somewhere (in the best case my life is saved) that would be impossible, without time travel. There are two theories, My original time line was not to die but someone between me and my futureself time traveled back in time and created an alternative life for me in which i do die. So my future self has already made it to the future and he is aware of this paradox so he calls me and warns me not to go to that party or wherever. The other idea is that what my self was trying to save me from was not my life, but something else that possibly my self in the future regrets doing (like dropping out of school or taking drugs) but if that does happen in means that i will never do whatever it is and then i will not need to call my self. IT IS SO CONFUSING!!!
Just had a thought. When we look at stars, we are looking at "the past". When we are looking for aliens and such, isn't it true that they would see our tv shows from the 1950's as it takes that long for the waves to travel?
So maybe in the future, we will find a way to send messages back to the past.....but there would be no one there to receive since we don't have that technology yet. So, we would have to send messages into the future. but, by the time they got the messages, we'd be long gone anyway. Weird to think about. Seems easier to just make a video tape and put it in a time capsule LOL

The dynamics of being able to use your cell-phone to call yourself would be interesting to figure out all in itself.
Your message transmitted through several different pieces of equipment, and your signal from the future is able to make its way through to 2007 ?
am I to understand that somehow your cell-phone becomes enabled to send signals through time, as well as space ?
If this is so, it is the cell-phone that is doing the time trippin, not you.
As far as what was said after merely two words, a psychic might be of more help...unless you recorded the call and are able to take it to a professional that can clean the recording up of the static and other signal interference effects.

I believe you are referring to my posts regarding the Lucifer Project...and perhaps the proposal of manipulation of individuals by who or what a time traveler would actually be...
As far as global annihilation of specific individuals goes, yes, this has been a goal of many through-out history, into the present, and probably into the future, as well.
With regards to the Cassini Probe, I figured the Lucifer Project to be just another conspiracy theory amongst the thousands floating around the net. However, in researching what several authors have presented...IF they are honest and correct with the data they offer as support...then it seems that it is a possibility that the atmosphere of Saturn could be ignited by such a device included on the Cassini Probe.
The question then becomes whether or not there are people who would make the attempt.
IF they do, so be it. I am not going to change my life, and will do what needs to be done during my days, and IF I get toasted by a newly formed sun..oh well..thats just the way it goes. I happen to believe in a Heaven and God, so getting toasted by a new sun, just shortens my time here.
Don't get me wrong though, if it is something thrust in my face, and I am able to do something, I will do so to the best of my ability. For those things I can't do anything about, then I am not going to expend alot of energy with worry...nor hide away in a cave somewhere.
We have countless individuals making claims that they are travelers through time. So far, most of the supporting "evidence" presented is lacking in any future events that it seems a traveler could use as solid support for their claims.
Instead, almost every "prediction" is just that, a "prediction". Any of us could cruise the net, and take notes off of numerous psychic websites, select the seemingly best predictions, and then post them in here, as we claim to be a time traveler from the future...hoping the ploy works.
I am also a firm believer that the "real" time travelers are outside most people's current conceptions of what they would be like.
I believe there are travelers through time, however, that it is extremely unlikely that any of them would proclaim such a thing in these forums. We may have time travelers active here, but they are being covert with their participation in the threads.
Now with regards to the claim in this thread, to get a cell phone call from your future self, doesn't mean that YOU are a traveler through time.

That the me in future is not actually a time traveller but could acess the technology to send radio signals back through time.
It may be actually and realisticly possible in the future.
A definition of Time;
'If two twin dogs were born and one was to stay on earth and the other was to fly on space craft far into space and then come back, to the one in the space craft it would seem as if one year had passed. But on earth it would seem that ten had passed, so now these twins are no longer same age.'
It would actually be possible, because time also does relate slightly to distance. So time may be pictured as a funnel. The dog in space was at the smallest end of the funnel, and the dog staying on earth was at a larger spot inside the funnel.
Possibly if you needed to send radio signal back in time it might be possible to fly into the larger end of the 'time funnel' and send it back. But to do so requires way advanced technology and understanding of the great universe, also acess to a space ship.
Time (Not my theory) can be seen as a spring. I've heard this a lot but i cant think of the meaning and if time actually could 'spring back; fourth.'
