Penrose Diagrams?

To anyone who actually understands what a Penrose diagram describes, don't you think that the following should be the case for anyone claiming to be a time traveler?

Should a time travel claimant be expected to be able to discuss the details of Penrose diagrams of space-time?
<input type="radio" name="option" value="1" />Yes. Since the Penrose diagram is a map of space-time, I feel it is obvious a time traveler should understand it and be able to discuss the technical aspects of it.
<input type="radio" name="option" value="2" />No. Understanding a Penrose diagram is not a requirement for being able to travel through time. We may decide to send people back into time who don't comprehend the Penrose diagram or what it means.

A time traveler, at a minimum, might want to know the difference between pointed Sharks Teeth and rounded Sharks Teeth.
