Hard to believe "Advanced Designs" and media failure in reporting them

First, I give you an appropriate reporting on hard-to-believe "advanced aircraft design" ideas. The BBC will introduce the guy's ideas, but then at least have the wherewithal to bring in some experts to explain why it is.....ahhhhh....not like to get off a computer visualization tool.

And now, we turn to the wide-eyed, all-believing, and never-questioning stalwart of liberal newsertainment, CNN with the same story:

And of course, the clueless designer (note he does not claim to be an engineer, at least smart enough to not make that mistake) gets at least 10 points on Baez's Crackpot Index when he invokes Einstein:

But, Vinals says, Albert Einstein might have the last word on this: “Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions”.
+10 Mr. Vinals, would you like to try for more?RMT

The design is too pretty and if mother nature in a bad mood and feels like she wants to throw a few thunder cells in your way,...then your'e in deep do do.I liked the movie (Flight ), with Denzel, as it is really possible to roll an aircraft inverted and get what the pilot wanted.A good ole thunder bumper is often the determinate good or bad dessin review once your'e in it.Not a bunch of people based in the CAD CAM engineer hall, that have nothing better to do than let imaginations run and smoke ganja. If you need to be able to pump the damned gear down NOW as a few hundred lives are depending upon this feature, then it had better be there.

Seems as if the design people go through these periods every once in a while, while common sense and having been in very bad in-flight situations escapes out the window.Good one RMT, glad you spoke out Pinter
