I was surfing the net the other day, when my computer screen froze up. Nothing odd about that, but when I pressed control alt delete, my screen went black, and red letters started appearing. They read:

Beware the curse of reality
travel through it
and you will rip the thread apart

change it
and you will uproot the foundation

use it
or it will use you

Afriend

Do you think this is a practical joke or what? I don't see how that could be done to my computer today but maybe a warning from the future or something...?

Hi I'm Adam I just wanted to say I have three or four theories for you: 1. It could be a joke, 2. It could be a demon or devil, 3. It could be a angel or God, 4. It could be from another dimension or future, past, and parallel universe. I'm a religious person so I believe in all of these things except the joke subject believe whatever you want to believe but these are my opinions or theories.

RE: Personal

I like the idea of a parralel universe. The quantum foam would not allow anyone to access this universe unless they could send the message via quantum machine. Seing as the internet is functioned by jillions of little particles, a smart dimension could send a particle machine through the foam. The question is, why?

RE: Personal

It could very well be a joke, if you were on the internet there are ways they could have taken control of it, how I'm not sure but It happened to me once. made my comp crash twice...

RE: Personal

Yes but how could they control my computer AFTER crashing and breaking the internet connection?

RE: Personal

I've heard many times in the past of programs like these! They are what you'd class as a sorta virus/prank program. What can happen is a hacker may have sent it to you or you unknowingly obtained it while you still had the connection (into your memory or on the disk) and then it causes your computer to crash after it's already on.

As for it happening after CTRL+ALT+DEL, Windows can ovverride this key combo, and any half-decent virus writer/hacker can do it to! Had you been anywhere or chatted to ne1 where you might have got it? It probably deleted any traces of itself afterwards but have you used a virus scanner?
