I was attached to an F-14 Squadron, Fighter Squadron 102, The Fighting Diamondbacks. Home based at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Va. We were assigned to the USS George Washington (CVN-73) Battle Group.

Ummm...note that I said read about him here. This post was intended to show
that there was/is a Fighting Diamondbacks group, just in case any ummm...time
travellers show up claiming to be from a group of the same name.
