However, I would suggest you take note of this quake off of NorCal today. Typically, the fall earthquake season window corresponding to my model opens in mid-September and closes in late OCT or early NOV, depending upon average temperatures. There have been some decent-sized quakes (>3.5) just south of the US-Mexico border in the last 2 weeks as well.
More data to validate my model... And for the record, I believe the window will close on this fall's season on NOV 5th. As for magnitudes, I believe a "big one" is still within the realm of possibility (at least a 6.0 and could go as high as 7.1).

I have not made my usual CA earthquake prediction based on my spring/fall "earthquake season" theory and model. Mostly because I have just been too busy with work, home improvements, and designing my CO ranch.A light earthquake occurred at 1:53:18 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, October 17, 2006.
The magnitude 4.9 event occurred 129 km (80 miles) W of Petrolia, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 10 km ( 6 miles).
