Faaip de Oiad

Temporal Novice
If any of you have the newest TOOL album, Lateralus, you'll be
intrigued to hear what track 13 has to say. It's sorta hard to hear
the persons voice with all the background noises that are on the
track as well, but here's what this gentleman says:

"I, I don't have a whole lot of time. Um, OK, I'm a former employee
of Area 51. I, I was let go on a medical discharge about a week ago
and, and... <chokes> I've kind of been running across the country.
Damn, I don't know where to start, they're, they're gonna, um,
they'll triangulate on this position really soon.

OK, um, um, OK, what we're thinking of as, as aliens, they're
extradimensional beings, that, an earlier precursor of the, um, space
program they made contact with. They are not what they claim to be.
Uh, they've infiltrated a, a lot of aspects of, of, of the military
establishment, particularly the Area 51.

The disasters that are coming, they, the military, I'm sorry, the
government knows about them. And there's a lot of safe areas in this
world that they could begin moving the population to now. They are
not! They want those major population centers wiped out so that the
few that are left will be more easily controllable."

Very interesting...if you take a listen to the track..it sounds like
this is an actual phone conversation...very legit. Take a listen and
hear for yourself. The track is called "Faaip de Oiad", from TOOL's
latest release, Lateralus.

What is this crap? And what weird shit are you wasting your money on to listen to?

I just downloaded that track you said, but it’s the same strange word repeated over and over again, there is nothing in the background (even with modifying equalizers). The words sound more like the guy is saying “I feel laid” over and over again from start to finish.

There is no way anyone can make out any phone conversation in all that noise.

The only thing anyone will get from listening to this is a headache and be annoyed at the stupid bastard repeating endlessly “I feel laid” again and again.

I haven't heard this track yet (haven't bought Lateralus yet), but I have to say that Tool is everything I'd want to be if I wanted to be a band. Innovative, rhythmical, and challenging. It seems like they're always challenging what you expect from a song, but just enough that the strangeness is like a spice rather than disturbing. I can't get enough of Schism every time it's on the radio.<hr size="1" width="80%" color="#000099" align="left">"All gods are false. Faith itself is idolatry."
