****
The Fugit suffered some heavy damage as we traversed the eight temporal ring, we had to land in this TR to make some repairs.
****
The damage is extensive. Half the hypercube manifold had been torn apart. We'll have to go see if we can find some spare parts. RG will go to the nearest city and see what she can find.
****
Regis left over ten hours ago, never communicated at the pre-accorded time. Will wait for two more hours and then head out.

****
The environment of this TR is brutal. Despite it exists in the subjective future this TR is a barren wasteland. The small forest we found is just but an oasis amidst miles and miles of barren wastelands. There is no sign of civilization anywhere. I fear for Regis safety!

****
After two hours walking in this deserted waste, I uncovered a signal several miles west. I tried to communicate with the Fugit but couldn't reach it. I think Regis might have had the same trouble.

****
I accessed my personal Chronolog and found the following. This TR suffered a major incident several hundred years ago. A pandemic event of global proportions annihilated 90% of the population in about fifty years. The remaining ten percent didn't have the resources to rebuild. They regressed into some form of Dark Ages. A real pity.

****
Its been three hours since my last entry. I found the source of the signal. It comes from an underground cave array, but my equipment cant penetrate farther than a hundred meters down so there is no way I could say what's down there. Probably Regis is down there. The sun is coming down. I will wait until tomorrow to venture underground. I hope my disruptor is fully charged.

****
The sun came up around 5:45 Am. I prepared to venture down. About an hour after I initially began to descend the cave complex I found what seems to be a powerful signal; there is some sort of energy source down here. I still haven't found Regis, but her marker appears faintly in my sensors, but its not moving. That's not good.

****
I don't have much time! There seems to be people moving around inside this caves, but I haven't seen anyone yet. I reached the bottom of the cave complex, but my sensors are no longer functioning. I fear I might get lost. The source of the signal is no longer perceivable in my sensors but I can definitively listen to a deep humming vibration.

****
It should be around noon. I followed the vibration only to find a large water fall. It seems to be a pretty far fall. There are lights down there. I keep listening to strange noises, I might be paranoid, but I think I am being followed. I will check if my AG boots are operational.

****
My AG boots were not operational, as a result I had to maneuver down one of the slippery rock walls adjacent to the water fall. As I kept climbing down I distinguished the lights below me a little better. They were primitive settlements. Using my omniculars I scanned the settlements, the people seemed human but had something different about them. They didnt seem to talk among them, they acted like hominids. I dont know what to make of this all.

****
I am going down, I really hope my disruptor doesnt fail me now.

****
As I ended my descent towards the primitive village the humming sound grew louder. My instruments stopped working entirely as I was halfway down; it was good I didnt use my AG boots, otherwise I would have met an untimely demise. As I was about a hundred meters down the primitive people somehow noticed me. They began to shoot me with some sorts of sligshots; they were pretty accurate. I tried to climb but then some of them began to climb the slippery rock wall with the greatests of dexterities. They reached me in but minutes. From up-close they seemed human but they acted completely feral. Luckily for me they didnt make me fall, instead two of them held fast to me and lowered me down.

After they stripped me from my every possession, including my disruptor, they took me across their village. They communicated with grunts and grumbles, and about ten of them escorted me and made way as we walked across their primitive settlement. The houses were small and roughly hemispherical, mud and god knows what else had been hardened into a hard looking substance. Women and their children seemed to be in front of each household breaking shelled creatures and feeding their young.

As they paraded me across town we reached a bigger hut. The men were mostly surrounding this place and the hum came from its inside. I was brought through the threshold and presented to some sort of chief or leader. Right next to him was my friend RG, she was detained in a simple cage made out of vines and hardened branches. She greeted me with a disappointed grimace and she signaled to the other side where there was a device. It hummed deeply.

The men brought me to my knees and the leader rose from his throne like stone.

"Its a pity you had been stranded here....Horologer."

I was looking down when I heard those words, the man spoke english! When I rose my face I saw the chief, but right next to him was another man, a man dressed in the Victorian Fashion, even his moustache and trimmed beard gave him away.

"Who are you?"

The man approached me with a snicker on his face. "That's not important right now. Who are you and why are you here?

I looked at his eyes, they seemed intelligent, savvy and dangerous, I answered immediately; "my friend there is RG and I am...Trent. Our ship needs some repairs, we couldn't travel any longer so we landed here."

"Really?"

"What's that device you have there? What happened to this people?" I asked as the man clearly ignored my answer.

He walked towards the device. It really looked like a gas tank with all manner of tubes, steam vents and lights. "This is the reason why this people are still alive. The Paradox Wave destroyed half this Sectron, This is the only thing stopping it from going even farther!"

****
"Half a sectron?" asked I. A sectron was more or less twenty thousand years so if a Paradox Wave was expanding in half a sectron it was hitting a lot of time. Immediately I asked the obvious, "What caused this paradox?" I was concerned, enfuriated and frustrated.

The spindly man turned and faced me. He took a deep breath and replied, "It was me."

I couldnt believe it. The primitive men holding fast onto me kept me from launching myself over him. " How could you do such a thing?"

The man took another series of breaths, "It wasn't on purpose. I was just experimenting with time and tried to make a minor change in the past, to study its effects. When I returned to my own time I stidy the effects and then went back to revert it, only to find that I couldnt. I kept going back and the more I tried to change it the more aggressive the changes were on the present."

As he spoke I only thought on the repercussions of traveling to the same temporal field twice. The dangers were astronomical, a rift in which several timelines would intertwine could accur, with events from one timeline affecting events in another, like a shadow refflecting on another building making you think itspart of the building only to realize that its jnot when its gone. Traveling twice to the same spot was dangerous let alone several times. It was like trying to paint away a blotch of ink with even more ink.

"How many times have you done this?"

The man answered candidly as he kept working upon the device, "This will be my one hundredth and fifhtieth."

Both RG and I crossed eyes. This has gone on for far too long. I was about to over power the natives with several Ternari moves when tyhe entire hut and most possibly cavern began to shake vigorously. It rumbled madly as everything was toppled downm, I could only listen to RG's words.

"Its a timequake!"

****
A timequake is a massive and quite impressive event on its own. In a normal earthquake the earth itself moves underneath liberating stress between tectonic plates, in a timequake timespace trembles as new things are introduced in an already occupied temporal field; the pressure this causes makes space and time tremble vigorously.

The rumblling time quake threw everyone off guard including the primitives, who immediately let go of me and ran away and out the door. I tried to incorporate as the rumbling timespace shuddered spasmodically. The mysterious man yelled at the primitive humans not to leave him alone, they didn’t listen.

At the same time the flimsy cage where RG was being kept broke itself open and my trusted friend jumped out and towards me. I didn’t wait, I sped fast towards the man who was about to operate a lever on the device. I reached him in time as the massive quake began to subside. We fought for several seconds and as we fought we pushed the lever unintentionally. “You see, Fate is on my side!” hollered the man as he was still holding onto me. Before I could say anything a brilliant flash erupted from the device and engulfed the man and myself.

****

RG’s personal log.

It’s been several days since Trent and the mysterious man had vanished. In this time I have earned the respect of the people of the settlement. I was able to help some of them with my limited medical skills and for that they thank me. I still have to convince them to let me go back to the ship to see if I could locate Trent.

RG's Personal Log

I'm back on the Fugit. I managed to leave the settlement while everyone was asleep. I doubt they will come for me, every time I managed to communicate to them that I needed to go to the upper world they went crazy. Probably years of fear of indoctrination had made them believe its a monstrous world.

Once back I tried to use the instruments of the ship to find Trent but to no use. Without the main system operational its like trying to find a neutron in a big star. I will attempt to cannibalize some of the parts and create a makeshift part that could at least help me find my traveling companion and friend. I wonder what happened to them.
