Are dreams somehow connected to different timelines or is it just an imagination our brain causes to project?

I am always asking this question because sometimes in my dreams I am coming back to the same place... I can even make a map out of it because i have seen it so many times... not that it would be clear of course...


P.S. some dreams are random so they dont count maybe

I am from a buddhist background. Various explanations can be offered to try and explain your experience. New Age and Eastern religions would probably suggest that you are experiencing moments of a past incarnation.
