Dr. Ronald Mallett is featured on the new YouTube show EPIPHANY this week discussing his theories for time travel and the potential creation of a time machine. Watch it at this link.

Earlier in the week he talked about the origins of his interest in time travel, including the story of his relationship with his father and his discovery of Einstein's theories. Tomorrow he will answer questions from viewers, and Friday he will talk about the five things he's really excited about right now.

Check it out - really fascinating stuff. Here's to hoping his theories can be manifested!

There are two big problems with Prof. Mallett. I assume you watched the video and saw that at the beginning he talked about how he had to wait, keep his time travel research and theory a secret and first build up his professional credibility before he announcing his ideas about time travel to his peers. But what did he actually do? Instead of first publishing his research in a peer reviewed professional journal (research paid for, BTW, by our tax dollars - he's a state employee) he first "published" his theory in the UCONN student newspaper and several other popular press outlets. Shortly thereafter he published his paper in Physical Letters A and was soundly shot down because he had made several unsupported assumptions and math errors. He ultimately withdrew the paper.

It's true, he's a real physicist. But he, and he alone, ruined his professional reputation by coming off as a publicity hound instead of as a serious scientist. That was 10 years ago and he still hasn't recovered (or re-submitted the paper). But he makes a boatload of money on the pop-sci book writing and public guest appearance tour. And your tax dollars was his seed capital.
