is there any info on file about this person or what he will do within the next 100 years?

if there are really any time travelers out there then you would be able to tell me at least something...

i know...cant reveal anything because you affect the timeline...but im not looking for specifics...

ok heres an idea...i have one word that i will use in the future that will identify myself to all time travelers...now if you can repeat this word in this forum back to me

then i will know at least that you are for real and that we will meet in the future...

If someone here waits until the future of this reality and just happens to associate with you and learn of your secret password, and then they attempt to travel back in time to reveal it to you, only the "next" you would get the response here on the board. A you has to make the request, live out your entire life without getting the response you were looking for, actually run into someone in the future capable of traveling back in time, then they have to care about doing this chore for you. Only then will the "next" you get a friendly response. Odds are, every you that lives out the first you senario that actually makes this request will be discouraged because you were never informed in your own past.
 
Do you know that is a rather convoluted theory? Even I had to read it a few times to understand it. Perhaps a slightly... less technical version?

In order for this to work:

1. Shawn(1) wants someone from the future to come back and reveal his secret password that he will not reveal until a future period of time. He posts this on a forum and awaits the response.

2. Shawn(1) never receives the response he is looking for.

3. Shawn(1) meets a time traveler in the future and the traveler agrees to travel back in time to reveal the password.

4. Time traveler travels back in time and reveals password on forum to Shawn(2).

Conclusion:
--------------
Shawn(2) is the resulting person who finally receives the message because a Shawn(1) has already lived out the life that got him to the future to give out the password in the first place. Since nothing would have happened for Shawn(1) to get there, only Shawn(2) will get the result.

Why this is not likely to happen:
----------------------------------------
1. Assuming Shawn(1) was able to meet a time traveler in the future who was willing to go back and do this for him, it is unlikely that Shawn(1) will still be interested or motivated to do so, considering in his past he never received the response. The only way for a Shawn(2) to get this message is for an absolutely determined Shawn(1) to carry out the task.

well gee that leaves me 3 years to make a mark in this world...how nice /ttiforum/images/graemlins/frown.gif

so if this is true...maybe its because of the current course in my life...
