Temporal Novice
Hello all, this forum is so great I have been a lurker for a really long time i just been reading people's posts... The reason i was feeling down was that my faith for time travel has been depleting, you see i believe in a lot of the different theories of time travel the wormhole theory, the use of paradoxes, even the space ship going form earth and coming back at light speed but all these theories are humanly imposable unless your a multi billionaire... there is still the fact that time it self could be a man made thing but i don't believe that... the other thing is if time travel was real it would be controlled by the government i believe this because if the time line theory isn't true then anything you do in the past would change the future. If any government saw that people could change how things where they would male laws ageist it and control it for there own needs. there is one theory i got excited about reading... i don't remember the name of the theory but it was like there was a dimension for every possible choice like a binary kind of thing like :if i did something in this dimension then it wouldn't happen in that dimension: I liked that theory but it would lead to trillion+ dimensions and would get bigger every day. but basically the reason i am writing this is because everyday it seems less and less possible a common human would be able to time travel I am hoping some one could disagree with me and give me a little more faith that time travel will or is possible by a common human

time travel is problematic. you can't go to future, because it simply does not exist till you experience it. you can't go to the past as it has gone. we are stuck in the present /ttiforum/images/graemlins/ooo.gif time is not something which is repetitive. it is not a tape that you can play backward and forward. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif different timelines? where? :D

so there is no possabilaty of going in to the past? is there any theories on it? i would love to hear them if there was any... I think the light speed theory is true that if you travel in a space ship at light speed to the moon and back that there could be an effect in time... like some one being able to freeze them selfs to get to the future.. of course they would die but it would still work if the freezing part didn't kill you.. but any way i just wanted to see if there was also a theory any one has to get in to past. its hard but because i know time is not an object like a tape its a non psychical thing but i would like to hear a theory if any one has one to go to the past...

That's one theory. Another theory is that there is no such thing as time.

That time is an artifact of the way our consciousness perceives reality. That the future and the past are no different than the present. So future time travel is possible. And that past time travel is possible but only to a different time/world line.

What you are asking is the question "Why do you have a memory?" If it is only the present then perhaps no one should have a memory. Why should there be a memory, if everything is in the present?

Why should some people discern the future such as the Saints then? That is held to questions concerning religion and their religious experience and information told to them while in trance by other angelic beings.

Therefore science in the end needs to explain certain human thinking or else it is only nature's laws they are concerned with. They seem to extend physics into the (what is called) the metaphysics.

Or why do the scientists actually think they way that they do?

Those questions bring on the possibility of time travel, or traveling in time, because in the end something will have to explain why humans think at all?

ok i get that idea time is a man made object... but the human mind is not... its really cool to think about all the different passable ways you can look at it but since there is no way to prove any of it..

having a memory does not necessitate time travel to the past. the past is only in our memories. as to the travel to future, I believe that Einstein's theory makes sense. after all, in that theory you do not jump in a time machine and end up in say 2050. you live, experience things and you journey, but on different atomic levels which you put you ahead of your peers. say 1 year for them is 1 day for you in that travel. but I dooubt whether or not this can be called as time travel as one wouldn't like to make such a travel be cause you cannot return. all the people you know would have died by then. why would one like to make that travel? but as far as I know reversing the process is not possible which is actually what you call time travel.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
now my questions:

PS 1: as you approach light speed, time slows down. why?

PS 2: as you slow down, time speeds up?

PS 3: it it possible to stop the movement of an atom? why are particles in movement? what makes them move?

PS 4: if anything stopped say 1 year, we would be in 2006 instead of 2007. would it cause a different timeline or would it just mean there would be no 2007 at all?

In Quantum Theory that is all included in the brain and the mind. It is just that with the present quantum theory it can all be explained. Therefore since scientists think there are parallel worlds and universes and worldlines, then the brain and mind of all must be included and not just a subset of the Set of Time. The Set of Time includes all of it, no matter if anyone else it was different when it can not be.

Sets are a Mathematical concept so the "Set" of "Time" must include the Present and the Past that is in the brain and mind.

This is current theory of the quantum theory.
