Dimensional Traveler
I just got back from seeing the movie "Dejavu". It is a time travel movie and it was pretty good.
It kept you going through the whole movie.

SPOILER ALERT???

I haven't seen it and was debating seeing it- there really hasn't been a good time travel-related movie to date- the best I've seen is "Prince of Darkness" but that is a horror movie. My guess is that both of them are the same person or one is the father/son/daughter/third cousin of the other. Am I right? Was it worth my five bucks or should I want until it's on HBO next month LOL

5 bucks? Thats all you pay? wow I pay 8 bucks in Ohio to see a movie.
and the popcorn and pop can cost more than the movie! figure that out!
I personally do not like horror movies and I don't watch them. I like sci fi
but not horror.
actually the movie really keeps you going through the whole thing. I would say it is worth it.
It seems to even be scientifically accurate. I don't want to ruin it for you. If i find the trailer somewhere I will post the link.

>5 bucks? Thats all you pay? wow I pay 8 bucks in Ohio to see a movie.<

Yup- the closest theater to here has five buck matinees every day and yeah- I know it's a bargain. But then again- how many movies have you seen and left feeling ripped off? Matrix 3 comes to mind.

>>and the popcorn and pop can cost more than the movie! figure that out!<<

They even have buckets o' popcorn for five bucks with free unlimited refills. When's the last time you got a tub instead of an advertisment-laden paper bag?

And half a mile down the road from this theater is a drive-in movie theater- how cool is that!

>>I personally do not like horror movies and I don't watch them. I like sci fi but not horror.<<

Prince of Darkness is definetly a horror movie and will scare the crap out of you the first time. But the science of time travel underrides the movie and it's good logic- this is where sci fi got "tachyon pulse signals from the future" from.

Our matinees are six dollars. But the movies at night are eight.
I have had the bucket popcorn before. I believe they still serve that at a different
theater here. Most of the time it is advertisement for other movies on the bags.
Whats really fun is to go to a really popular movie on opening night and see people dressed up as a
favorite character. It is funny to see! LOL
I usually don't go on opening night. I try to go to matinees also on the weekends. cheaper.

I also saw "Happyfeet" which is really cute. The animation is getting better and better as the years go by. I personally love penguins they are so cute. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif I went with my brother and sister in law and I don't think my brother liked it too well. He is kind of a geekish computer nerd.
All he saw in it is something his students might be able to create after they graduate from college. lol

I used to be in NYC where a movie's always ten bucks so five is a real bargain.

Only time I actually saw that was LOTR: ROTK where this guy was dressed up like an elf. I am one of the most tolerant people out there and whatever, but I just couldn't stop looking at him and smirking. And on top if it, it was like 30 degrees and he had leotards on! And he shaved his legs!! He looked at me with the biggest "Please don't point out what a jackass I am" looks I've ever seen.

>>I also saw "Happyfeet" which is really cute. The animation is getting better and better as the years go by.<<

Personally I am getting tired of the "silly animal movies where every animal is a bigger smartass than the next". The plots are thin, the one liners are poorly written and they all have fart humor in them.

The only reason they make them at all is because it's economically viable- between the McDonalds toys, Playstation games, popcorn bag advertising and movie-themed ringtones they have enough to pay the animators to make what used to be a one reel throwaway film like Bugs Bunny into a matinee event. Bah humbug! And what's up with the rap music in every movie's credits? Sheesh.

>>I went with my brother and sister in law and I don't think my brother liked it too well. He is kind of a geekish computer nerd.

It's nice having people to go to the movie with- makes it more fun.

I just saw the movie tonight also, and I was pleased to find that they included some discussion of the subject of single vs. multiple timelines.

It was a good flick. I should have seen the conclusion coming, but I did not. Denzel always gives you your money's worth.
