Cosmo's Titor Chronicles

Hi everyone!

I’ve started working on a novel-style retelling of the John Titor story, trying to capture what it felt like to experience it as it happened. For those who were around at the time, you know how strange and captivating it was to watch it all unfold. That special combination of wonder, unease, and curiosity is something I think a lot of people who discover the story now might not fully understand.

I’m writing it chapter by chapter, starting with the alleged faxes that kicked everything off. My goal is to bring the story back to life in a way that stays true to how it felt for me back then.

The information itself isn’t new, it’s all here or Paranormalis, but I’m sharing it as a serialized retelling over on X. The prologue is up now, and more chapters will follow:

I’ll share updates here whenever a new chapter is posted, and I’ll also be adding other stories and posts along the way (I have about 15 in varying states of progress). If you’re on X, feel free to follow me there (I follow back) and you'll be one of the first to see the new stuff :)

It's cool to see the Titor story integrate a new medium. X articles look good on every type of device. I'm curious to see how much visibility they'll gain, how many views after some time.

Well done! :)

I've said this before his theory does not stand to make any sense and also they came out with sliders before he posted ...the show sliders....also if he said that no time he traveled in was the same and that there was an infinite amount of times...then why wouldn't we see an infinite amount of ourselves who have discovered time jumping visiting ourselves.

It's nice to see that someone cares about preserving the story of Titor in its original form. Will it be possible for me to distribute this story in the Russian segment in the future, of course, referring to you as the author?

The point (at least for me) isn't that his theory makes sense, but that it's fun and interesting. Especially if you watched it unfold as a teenager while it was being posted. For me that nostalgia is enough :) I'm sure not everyone views it the same way though.

Totally, the stuff posted on X is just for fun. Feel free to translate it as long as you can link back to the original post there. I'm glad you like it! I'll improve and massage it over time, got something a bit bigger than the episodic approach in mind as well once this version is done. Kids and winter on the homestead have got in the way of getting more done, but soon enough!

I am very glad that you have given your consent! It is just that in the Russian segment many are interested in this topic and many are interested in the story of John Titor, but they can find it in a very compressed form on sites like Wikipedia.

Cosmo is working on a new version of the static TTI site. Every part and every detail of the Titor story will be presented in its ultimate form. Stay tuned!

A lot of the stuff I was trying will be moved over to Curious Cosmos, TTI just wasn't the place for it no matter how hard I wished. Long past due to do the frontend properly. Been showing Num, I think you guys will like it.

Curious cosmos??? What is it? Well, I understand that this is the name of the site, but... I'm hearing about it for the first time. Sorry for asking this question in this thread and not in others, but Cosmo, Num, are you attracted to any other interesting paranormal stories, besides time travel? "Paranormal" is probably not a very well chosen word, but I can't think of a better one. -_-

No worries! I'm happy to answer questions :)

@Num7 owns Paranormalis, which is more in the paranormal realm. Definitely check it out, it’s been around since 2004 and was the first site I called home way back when.

Curious Cosmos is an idea I’ve had on and off for years but never had the time to flesh out. When I did try, I let it bleed into this site, which never worked. It’ll focus more on "what if" fringe concepts, leaning into the creative edge of storytelling and speculative science fiction, rather than "I believe this thing." It’ll also be where I put my stories in the future. It’s not quite ready yet, though, I’m working on finishing up TTI first.

The "Titor Archive" part of the new site here is pretty close to being ready, probably by the end of the weekend. That part will be a bit like the original johntitor.com, but more put together, something I should have done when I took over here. Better late than never though :)

Hmm.... It turns out that the concept of "let's discuss such and such a topic" turns into a discussion of some probability...
A very interesting idea, please let me know about your major stages in progress, I will be very happy to hang out on this site, unless the topics are difficult for me as a humanities student, haha.
I have already heard about the "paranormal" site, here, on TTI, but for some reason I have not visited it yet, I will have to listen to you and visit it!
P.S. I am surprised that num owns it.

Definitely give it a look. Paranormalis began as TimeTravelForum.net, and that's when I found it (back in 2004). I was one of the early staff members, and then some internal disagreements between the original owners caused the site to somehow be gifted to myself. I renamed it to Paranormalis to fit the breadth of topics people were discussing, but I eventually gifted it to @Num7 in 2009 when life started taking me other directions.

This site started in 1998/1999 by @Mop, but he was set to shut it down in 2014 after real life started to take over. I stepped in and acquired it to keep it running (nostalgia and love for the lore), and we've been bouncing along ever since. Not always smoothly, but stubbornly.

Both Num's site and this one are sort of sibling sites, and a couple of the few remaining artifacts from the "golden age of the internet". Not too many sites like these out there anymore, especially since https://abovetopsecret.com went offline a week or two ago.

Welcome to the site, by the way, glad to meet you!

Got it. I'm glad to meet you both too! You're nice people.

Wow, and on paranormalis... There are many interesting topics on which I search for information in various archives.

This is sad. Apparently I won’t be able to visit this site, because I can’t register with a VPN, and without a VPN the site won’t load.
