Conspiracy Theories of Time Travel

I found this documentary on the conspiracy theories on time travel. They claim that time travel currently exist and that it is being hidden from us. Some of the evidences they show in the video however have been debunked... or have they??? Do you believe that the government is using time travel with out our knowledge?

Yeah, it's pretty difficult to think the governement of any country could hide time travel. Have you looked at politics in the past 100 years? These people don't know what they're doing now, much less in the future and to a horrific extent neither what has been done in the past (not learning from mistakes).

If any government actually had the "secret" to actual time travel, they would use it to their advantage, but the truth is no government in the world is at any advantage right now.

I would only subscribe to the theory of "wolf in sheep's clothing". If a government had game-breaking access to time travel it would be more to their advantage to maintain a shadow government working behind the scenes, allowing the faces to be scene and heard. The visible government would struggle and react like all the others, being nudged and manipulated to a desired outcome.

But yeah, I'd more expect hypothetical secret time travel liaisons from something like Google than the US government.

Now being advised by someone/something from the future. Different can o'worms.

That could very well be possible but it may not have worked to their advantage yet. Have you ever watched Steins;Gate? In the anime, an organization called SERN (a pun on CERN) was apparently looking into time travel but hadn't succeeded in transporting a person from one dimension to another. They usually ended up dead, coated in jelly, in another timeline. So the government hasn't had much luck in their experimentation. Thus, the secrecy.

I loved that series. A bit light on the science, but the story and the characters more than made up for it. Oddly, I found the English voice actors a better match to the roles than the Japanese. It's usually the other way around. People who love time travel stories, but not catoons/anime should look past that. This one was really five star. With some really great paradoxes too :-)

I have noticed that our government is not very good at hiding things for very long. If time travel existed and the government was using it, then we would not even have conspiracy theories about it.

I bet the details about time travel were on Hillary Clinton's e-mail server. :sneaky: If that's true we may never know. :(

How can time-travel be used as an advantage by any government?

Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, Andrew Jackson.Point taken yet?
Or maybe all the conspiracies the Government is actually guilty of?

Like, Torturing an Innocent Man by a simple mis-identification consisting of a single letter in two peoples names?

Or Running a Smear Campaign against the Only White Woman to have died in the Civil Rights Campaign? (Hint, You haven't heard of her in school because of this.)
