Carl - The Cursed Table

princepts

Temporal Novice
I witnessed an incident once which baffled me. It was a small, wooden table. The table had a name. It was called "Carl". The story goes that a young boy was once found dead under this table. Since then, the table seemed to have an identity; formed out of this tragedy. I was skeptic. I had heard of Carl. I would laugh to scorn those who told stories of how it would find its way out of locked closets to the bedside of individuals. They would wake up, startled, Carl inches beside them.

My sister was friends with the owners of "Carl". One weekend, I was home from college and met Carl. Now, there's nothing visually spectacular about this table. The wood is obviously old and flimsy. I inspected every orfice and inch of this spectacle....this wonder. Then I was told to ask it a question. I asked if its name was in fact Carl. One knock for yes, two knocks would indicate no People, this table lifted its self about an inch off of the floor to one side, and came down at a tilt. It knocked once. That was enough for me. About an hour or so later, however, was when I witnessed the real marvel of "Carl". My sister said "watch what happens when a bible is placed on Carl". She placed a small, green gideon bible on top of the small table. Almost instantly, this table swayed violently and lifted itself up and down....heaved side to side viciously until the bible was thrown, like a bullrider, from its top. No one was touching the table.

I can withstand scorn from anyone. I witnessed this startling incident. The table still exists. Allegedly he has calmed down some, but still finds time to pick when he wants to make his way from a locked closet to the bedside of any person residing in that house. Any similar stories?!

that is a really wild story, if true you need to record it and youtube if possible. But I remember some similar stories told in my family but I can't really remember what they were. I wonder what happened to that table though to make it do all that?

I will inquire about the status of Carl. If I am able to garner an appointment with the condemned table, I will in fact record the feat. When I had the opportunity to see it for the first time, cell phones were non-existent and being a college student, I was too poor to afford a camera. LOL. I'll see what I can do and keep you all up to date.
