its a war against an idea. how does he ever plan on winning this war? cant be done. its a completly sustainable war that can remain indefinetly. its a way to make completly unreasonable laws that people accept becasue they are at war. i have much more to say on this topic but this is a board about time travel

Not to get all politi-loco on you but what exactly would you propose we do?

Because YOU think it can't be won, we should not fight it? What if it really can't be won? Really? What then? Do we just not fight it?

When faced with certain defeat, shall a good man abandon who he is and compromise or go down swinging?

The war on terror can be won. It will be won when normal, decent human beings decide to put a stop to terrorism.

well... for a start... who is the enemy in this war or terror? "terrorists"? some people in the world would call america terrorists so does that make them right? as its a war of beliefs and 1 that is waged under the banner of religion i dont see how you propose to convert millions of people to just decide to change their religion. and dont ask why people follow a religion that thinks its ok to kill other people. im sure any "follower" of a religion would say they dont agree with killing, yet when you look at our history, there has been a hell of a lot of wars that have been started over religion.
im no noble peace prize winner so i have no grand proposal to stop it. all i will say is until people wake up and realise the world we live in and stop worrying about the one we dont; wer all fuckt. btw im a bit of a hippy stoner so peace 2 me seems such a simple concept i cant understand why every1 else struggles with it.

Bush has made some bad decisions (or rather his advisors have) as all governments have done around the globe on this issue.

I think there is a big difference though, between Bush eliminating a terror threat (that will never go away until dealt with) and a young guy/ that has been brainwashed to think if he blows up a bus full of people, his reward in heaven will be 20 virgins and rivers made of wine....

The real terrorists are the people that feed the young bombers with information that deludes them enough to carry out higher terrorists archaic and blood thirsty religious ideals.

I think that these people are a Major threat and Bush (as well as the other supporting govts) are right to want to take them out before we have another 9/11 occurs. These people will continue to attack as thet hate what we stand for, rather then having policitcal issues with us.
